If You Play It, Yak Will Come (Yuralria)

Location: Red Diamond Tavern
Who: Yuralria

Krivak was nosing around Avanthal, trying to follow his nose to something tasty. His stomach was rumbling and he was tired of oats at the stables. He tried the normal spots, near the park, near the Commons, but nothing. No one was making anything good today. He huffed and snorted in frustration, and began his solemn trek back to the stables. As he was passing by some door he'd never entered before, his ears perked up at a sound emanating from within the building.

It was music. Beautiful music. While Krivak had never had a talent for such a thing, he'd always loved listening to it. It always calmed him and allowed him to not notice the rest of the world. He peered around suspiciously. He was still new to town, but had learned that these people were very hospitable and welcoming. So against his finer instincts, he nosed open the door to the Red Diamond Tavern.

A wave of heat rushed out, the music ever so loud now. Krivak let loose a low moo of self confidence and slowly strode in. At least his pack was around his neck, the only thing that usually showed that he was a special yak, not a normal one. He poked his head in first, looking around the room, seeing a lot of people. Several had looked his way, their eyes shifting away from something on the far end, and now locked on to him.

A gruff male voice from behind some sort of counter, that a lot of people were sitting in saw him. Then he noticed the pack around his neck. He shouted at Krivak, in rough Common, "Come in already, you're letting the heat escape." Krivak mooed his thanks and entered the establishment, the door swinging shut behind him. He walked up to to the counter, and looked up at the man. "Well this is a first. I've had many a Kelvic in here, some liking their natural forms better, but this is my first yak. My name is Rayvois. Rules are simple, don't destroy anything, don't hurt nobody, and try not to raise a fuss. Now I'm sure you are not the meat eating type, so I'll have the kitchen whip up a plate of vegetables and fruit and bread for you. Go find you a spot over there by the stage, there should be a table there. Is your money in your pack?"

Krivak immediately liked the man, he had a dominating air about him, and was very straightforward. He nodded at the man's question. The man reached into Krivak's pack and took out the appropriate amount of coins. Then Krivak grunted in thanks, and slowly, carefully made his way toward his assigned table. He bumped a few patrons, but nothing too disturbing. When he arrived at his table, his eyes drifted up to the stage that all the other patrons were staring at.
