Jaq noticed the inventor was getting annoyed, which mean he should probably shouldn't push his luck. Jaq turned back to deGrey and pulled his coin purse out of his jacket pocket and began counting out the 65 gold mizas. As he did this Jaq began to describe the item he was looking for.

"I only need two of them, perhaps a 5 inches to a foot, whatever easier. It needs to be able walk like a turtle, and perhaps be able to move its head a little."

Jaq finished counting out the 65 gold mizas and placed them on the counter before deGrey. Then took a step back and thought for a moment. What exactly did he need? He didn't want it to have one of those wind up keys, as the Animation process would allow it to move on its own. A metal shell might be a it dangerous to.

"I don't really need it to move on its own, like the other toys, as long as the legs and head can move in the manner necessary to allow it proper mobility. Perhaps a soft wooden shell, so a child can play with it." Jaq remembered how long it had taken for him to pick up this order, so in hopes of allaying any fears of a repeat Jaq added, "Worry not about me taking so long in picking this up either. With the beginning of spring, most of the caravan's have already made their trips to their destinations. My work will be local for a few months."

TS: First Day of Summer, 510 AV

Greetings Alistair deGrey~

The Syliran Knights feel your services to the city have been exemplary and that your shop has been a great use of the empty space in Stormhold Castle. We'd like to congratulate you on your success and wish you another healthy happy season of profitable business. Because of your shops success, we'd like to offer you the space which has fallen empty beside the building. It is another 200 square feet if you feel the need to expand in any way. We offer this in lue of an increase in wages since our city coffers are rather short this season due to the increase of illegal activity within our boarders.

You have our thanks for your hard work and popularity among the denizens of this fine city.

Sincerely,
Loren Dyres ~ Grandmaster Syliran Knights

The Nuit walked into the shop with a particular purpose in mind. She knew that the shop owner, a Mister deGrey, preferred commissions and personal contact with all his customers, but she decided to first search the shelves for something to her liking. What she wanted was a bird, small and preferably made of thin, but resistant metal, with the ability to move the joints of its wings. The shop might offer something similar in the toys area, so after having familiarized herself with the structure in which the wares were displayed, Malia went off to the toys and started going through the pieces carefully.

To her delight she found what she had looked for easily: an elaborate metal bird, about 6’’ big from beak to tail, obviously made for older children. She wrapped her hand around the construct, feeling its texture, and then moving its wings. It felt a bit stiff and fragile, yet she discovered that it would be able to perform the fluttering moves it required to stay in the air. To be honest, she hadn’t expected to find exactly what she had looked so quickly. Apparently children played with those things nowadays … But that didn’t really concern Malia.

With the bird in her hands she went to the counter and paid 70 gold mizas for the toy. The shop owner might wonder what a pale, obviously grown-up woman wanted with a toy. Perhaps she would surprise the children at the Welcome Home with the bird. Given that it was robust enough for them to play with. Even if she did give the outcome of her little project to Trisha, or Fentya, she would have to make sure that they never discovered its magical abilities …

Thus were her thoughts when she left the shop and went back to her apartment and to work.
