While the fact that her fist missed his nose enraged her, the satisfying crack of it against his cheek more than made up for it. She was so pleased with herself that she simply didn't notice him grab her fist, follow it through, and then introduce her face to the dirt of their camp again. Nya went down hard, all the breath knocked out of her. She lay there a moment, lifting her shoulders to shake her head which gave Shai time to finish freeing himself from his clothing. She was up on her hands and knees by the time he was completely naked and danging the belt off his left hand. Nya didn't know if it was a threat or a promise as she snarled at him.
She only snarled because she wanted to buy a little time to look at him. Shai was absolutely beautiful naked. Sure, he had scars where numerous encounters with both enemies and loved ones had marked his skin. But the deep copper of his body and the contrasting black hair and piercing green-blue eyes made her pause. She longed to look at him, to pull Djed into her gaze, and compel him to bow before her. But he was a proud creature, a creature whos spirit Nya had no desire to break. And the belt in his hands ....
It made her shiver with desire.
The whole way he stood there defiantly and commandingly before her made her shiver. She loved him fiercely and suddenly was possessed of her own spirit more than the cat. She rose fully from her crouch and approached him. No forest cat ever had given a human the courtesy she gave him. It was only a pause in the game, of course, an acknowledgment of peers. After the interlude, the fight would continue. But the forest cat wearing her human guise approached him and presented him with her neck so he could wrap the belt tightly around it, cinching it and guaranteeing in this lucid moment that she wouldn't loose it and shift in order to kill him.
Whether he did it or not was up to him.
But she'd only pause so long and then the fight would be on again - so he would have to decide quickly. That much she broad casted in her gaze and through the bond. Afterwords, she'd try for his throat again, and if he wanted to take her in the way forests cats did, it would be a gradual thing, full of quick momentary couplings carried out in the heat of their battle whenever she made a mistake or Shai proved stronger. There was nothing human about the encounter - at least not until this instant - and there would be nothing human about it until afterwards. Once both were exhausted, bloody, and completely spent... Shai would have nothing left to give her and if Caiyha had her way, Nya would be carrying a belly full of his offspring from the encounter.
Two breaths, thats all the time she gave him, paused in front of him before she was crouched down and ready to slam into his midsection to take him down once more.
