Hair: Black with blondish streaks Build: Athletic Birth day: Summer 484 AV Occupation: Apprentice Jeweler (Valereiq’s Gem/9 gm per day) Character Concept Namorin and his counterpart Charlain are a young Akalak who has just come of age and is finding his adult self in the world as his two personalities struggle for dominance and their future. Namorin is striving for stability while Charlain wants to be some type of adventuring hero. Character Personality Namorin was the first soul to manifest right after birth. He is considered the lighter side of the two souls. He is quiet and less verbose then Charlain. Namorin watches and observes the world and is considered a pillar of strength by those around him. He is goal ordinated and driven to complete what he has started, which has lead him to success and failures as he finds it difficult to deviate from the path he has chosen. A lot of time though his goals will be to help others as much as improve himself. He is the one who is passionate about working in gems and his drive it what has made him the more dominate of the two and why his skills in jewel crafter is so much better than anything Charlain in interested in. Namorin makes friends easy except among women. He struggles with speaking to them on friendly terms. Professionally he has no problems, but if it is outside of a professional setting he can’t find words. Charlain was the second soul to appear and is considered the darker side of the personality. He believes that if it wasn’t for Namorin he would be the most intelligent person in the world. He is actually very intelligent and does have a passion for learning. Charlain unlike Namorin is extremely talkative. He likes the sound of his voice, and when he wants to be he can be charming and smooth. When he isn’t watching himself he can be extremely nasty. He isn’t cruel just selfish and very pessimistic. Charlain also struggles focusing on anything which is why often as not he isn’t in charge. The one time Charlain always wins is when they talk to women outside of work. Physical Description The eldest son of the Xalvratos line stands at a height of 7 feet tall, and has a trim weight of 214 pounds. Namorin has an athletic build that while lacking bulking muscle has excellent definition showing years of physical training. His skin is sapphire blue which is lighter than his father who has very dark skin. His skin is also relatively scare free due to his mother’s medical skill and healing Gnosis. There are only two real marks on his skin. The first is the scare running the length of his bicep that he received during his Trial of Manhood. The second is his Stormwarden Gnosis mark, a silvery whirlwind shape, on his left shoulder blade. Namorin has a head full of hair that was once solid black, but now has blondish streaks in it. He believes it is another mark of his devotion to Zulrav. His hair combined with serval features to create a handsome face. His broad jawline and straight nose were complemented by intense golden eyes. Set under a dark eyebrows his intense gaze has made some nervous and others swoon. His lips though are the truly expressive part of his face. His lips are well shaped and expressive, being able to slow clearly happiness, anger, or even sadness. In the summer Namorin tends to ware brown or dark green cotton pants with leather sandals and a leather belt. He will wear a cotton shirt rolled up to his elbows if he is at work with his leather work apron. If he didn’t have work for the day he will usually travel shirtless around the city. Either way he wears simple leather bracers around his arms. Once cold weather sets in he always wears a shirt, and usually adds a leathers vest as well as the clock when he travels outside. He also adjust his foot ware to shoes. Character History Namorin was born to the Akalak Narian and the Konti Morina. His father had left Riverfall to adventure and increases his fighting skills and in his adventuring he came to the island of Mura where he meet with a Konti named Morina. They found each other fascinating and soon were always seen together. A little more then a year after they first meet each other Morina discovered she was with child. Almost a year later she delivered herself of an Akalak child that Narian name Namorin after both Morina and himself. Narian wanted his son to grow up as a true Akalak son , and Morina couldn't bear to let either of them depart her so she traveled with them back to Riverfall, and there she married Narian. Narorin grew up in a simple home that he everything that he needed. He would be read to by his mother, trained by his father. Together they expanded both his mind and strengthen his body. He was nine years old when first Charlain made an appearance. Namorin was a quiet child who listened to his parents, he didn't always do what they said but he never talked back. Suddenly he was making sarcastic comments, and loved the sound of his voice. Narian recoginzed the sings almost instatnly that the second soul had appeared. Narian and his other half Laneret had achieved a balance and so taught Namorin and Charlain what was needed to maintain the balance. Namorin and Charlain listened but they contiuned to fight each other for dominace for years to follow. Morina announced at this time that she was once again with child, and the then ten your old struggled with his own inner turmoil as jealousy sprouted with both his personalities. He had always had his parents to himself, and now he would have to share their attention with another brother. It never occured to Narmorin or Charlain that he might not have a brother. Af first Namorin fairly neutral on the subject until he mentioned it to his friend. His friend thought he knew all about the world at the age of ten, and was an only child, warned his friend that parents stopped loving the older child in favor of the new child. And both Namorin and Charlain believed him. For the first time the two halves agreed on something and actually worked together some of the time. Morina was glad to see her sons, for she did consider bother her son, working together, but could see the jealousy was the common thread. She tried to comfort and pay extra attention to her son, but she her Akalak doctors insisted she have bed rest and to not do anything. Her son could be watched over by Narian whole she was carring the child. Her husband though was worried for her health, and mostly by horror stories that the doctor shared with him over her having any real complication. Eventually the child was born. A healthy Konti daughter joined the family. She was named Morlara in the Konti fashion after her mother and grandmother. Away from the docotors and able to get her husband to listen to reason, Morina brough her son in to help care for the child. Namorin and his other half were thrown off by the arrival of a little girl. It had rocked the solid case they had built up since they hadn't expected anything other then an Akalak brother. Shortly before he turned fifteen Namorin started to study jewel crafting, having a love for the beautiful stones, and delicate pieces of jewelry. Charlain objected to this trade as he found it tediou, and though that there was more exciting things to do. He wanted to be on adventures and see the world especially the parts relating to the Akalak past. Namorin was the dominat of the souls and so they spent more time looking into jewelcrafting, but when ever Charlain took control they would find themselves in the library studying the books about other places. Both of them enjoyed the combat training though, and found watching the weather fasinating. They looked forward to the Right of Trail and with their fathers help spent much time preparing for it. Together with other fifteen year olds Narmorin hunted down and old Glassbeak. The fighting was vicious and violent and Narmorin's childhood friend didn't walk away from the fight. Narmorin did come away from the fight though and returned to celebrate with his family. It was at this time that Narmorin declared that he would go into jewel crafting. He became an apprentice and began his years of training. This was a quiet time for Narmorin, his sister was growing older so he was becoming accustomed to the sibling and grew to love and care about the little girl who had entered his family’s life. Soon his parents announced that they were expecting again. After a time this child was born, and Namorin now had the brother he had been dreading, but now he was prepared for the coming child and was a helping hand with his parents. He prepared for his coming trial as often as he could, with training, and mental exercises, but one thing of importance happened to him before he was ready for his trial. One day as he lay on the Tower of Zaltiv contemplating his life and realizing how much had helped him learn and grow he began to pray to the god and was blessed with his mark and so became a low level Stormwarden. Shortly after that he entered passed his last Trial and became a full adult in the eyes of Riverfall. Possessions 1 Set of Clothing (Colorful)
