Built into the cliffs overlooking the Suvan Sea, Riverfall resides on the edge of grasslands of Cyphrus where the Bluevein River plunges off the plain and cascades down to the inland sea below. Home of the Akalak, Riverfall is a self-supporting city populated by devoted warriors. [Riverfall Codex]

The Kelvic had stopped at the Blue Bull, her fingers in her hair, palms pressed against either side of her face, her elbows on the counter. Her eyes were closed, and she felt the slight edge of stress. She had been searching for a job and she hadn't any feedback. She looked up at the bartending woman, Ann, a Drykas. She was sure that the woman had given her a few questioning looks. People who'd come in for a snack or few drinks, had immediately taken to Ann and were striking up conversations. Souris, on the other hand, just didn't feel like squeaking. She sighed, rubbing her face, and then looked back at Ann.

"I'll have a glass of wine," Souris told her. Or maybe a bottle, she thought quietly to herself. She watched the Drykas pour her drink, and then grabbed it almost hastily. She tried to keep herself from feeling like she needed the drink. She'd never had one before, but she heard that it can seemingly wipe away any bad feeling. And with the slightest sip, she wondered why anyone didn't think that it gave a bad feeling with it's aftertaste. She stuck out her tongue, but, she paused before going on to take another sip.

She had looked around, people watching. Her small, yet sharp nails caressed the wine glass.

The Mouse and Blue Man

Postby Saib on May 4th, 2013, 7:42 pm

Saib groaned a bit and lifted his head up from the counter when he heard a female ask for some wine, grinning."Oh no, please don't! " he heard his more effeminate side begging in his head. "Come on, find a guy! Please!" He ignored the pleas and stood up, moving behind the girl. He grinned and wrapped his muscular arms around her, hands moving onto her breasts."Hello there beautiful..." he whispered in her ear and pressed his body against her small one, running his hands down her frame.

Saib grunted and twitched a bit as his other side fought for control, hating what he was being forced to do..to witness. "Dammit just shut the petch up and enjoy!" he snarled in his head and turned his attention back to the beautiful girl he had his hand on.

Despite the fact that there was a large Akalak man with her breasts in his hands, Souris was oddly enough calm. The sips had come fast within the time it took him to get over to her, and she took the moment when he came over to down the rest of it. The taste seemed to linger in her mouth a while, but no longer did it taste bitter and disgusting. Her hands layered over his a second later, though her were much smaller. She gripped his hands hand, and then suddenly, her nails dug into his skin. She was sure not to dig in too deep, but it was enough that his grip would falter, she knew that much. When he would falter, she would pull his hands off of her, pull her knees up, and turn around in her chair to face him. She smiled.

"And you're a cocky, handsy Akalak, now aren't you." though he had just put his hands on her in a disrespectful way, the glass of wine was a bit too much for her and, being a lightweight, everything wasn't as severe in her head any longer. She laughed, being genuine with her content response. "How about I get to know you a bit better before you try doing that again." after this, her face became a little more smug, a little more sly, a bit more like a smirk. Though nothing in her head was like that, she herself just felt more confident with the alcohol in her system.

The Mouse and Blue Man

Postby Felavik Dysodamus on May 4th, 2013, 10:10 pm

Excuse me, milady.” Came the thundering voice of Felavik from behind her Akalak assailant. Felavik was donned in his full leather armour Lakan sheathed at his side on his belt. His right hand rested on it's hilt ready to draw the weapon at any moment. “

Felavik took a moment to sweep the bar with his eyes. Several Akalaks were surveying the scene with open malice. The assailant was lucky Felavik was here. As a member of the Kuvay'Nas he was perhaps the only person stopping every other Akalak in the bar from physically disassembling the man before him. The Akalak were not fond of womanly abuse. The sixth law of the city, the one which detailed every man would treat woman with respect, was one enforced by every Akalak in the city.

Well almost every Akalak. To Felavik it seemed this man was perhaps giving into his dark brother. If he was than he might be branded a Cerulaen if Felavik felt forced to bring the man in. As far as Felavik knew this was the Akalak's first offence. He would perhaps let him away with it if he left post haste.

Is this man bothering you?

Souris looked up, her eyes brightening. "Oh, hello." she smiled at him. Her voice almost had a tired hint to it, it was slow and a bit too calm. At this moment, she looked around to take in the surroundings. Then everything seemed to click into place. "Oh," it sounded more of a 'I get it' kind of 'oh'. All of the Akalaks seemed... sincerely angry. To the point they were ready to bash this one's head in. This caused her to smile.

She looked back at the male who came to her... "rescue" and then back to the other who had sexually harassed her. She sighed and shook her head. "He's bothering me, yeah," she reached back, expecting to find a full wine glass but then remembering that she drank it all. She returned her gaze back to the men.

"I think I'm going to be able to take care of myself, but if I need anything, I'll call for you." she knew deep down that wasn't going to happen. She wasn't going to be able to recognize his face. She looked back to the one brute.

"And he'll be able to control himself, won't you?" she smiled at the one male that caused the others to be angry. "Now what's your name?"

A Side NoteI'm not sure if Akalaks can struggle and fight for control like this but I'm going to assume they can until someone tells me otherwise.

Saib hissed in a breath as the woman dug her nails into him, the momentary lapse of hold on his lighter side giving him a moment to push for control. He growled a bit but not at anyone but himself. The surprise of hearing another man's loud voice behind him gave his other side even more of an opportunity to seize control and he took it. He said quickly, before he lost control again,
"I'm s-sorry ma'am, I didn't mean...d-didn't w-want to.." He felt his darker side struggling like a caged wild animal in his head.

"Stop! You're going to get us in trouble! So? I'll just leave you to deal with it when I'm done with her."

Saib shook his head and held it tightly in his hands, as though that could hold back the lustful struggle for control. He looked up at the other Akalak, and tried to ask for help; surely he would know how to, being a member of his own race.
"He-help..." He grunted and straightened, letting his hands fall to his sides as the dark side finally wrenched back control. He grinned smoothly at the woman, as though nothing had happened, and answered her question. "My name's Saib. Is your name as pretty as you are?"

His lakan gravitated out of it's sheath somewhat. This man was losing control. A candidate for the cerulean if ever he saw one. This guy was seriously losing control. “I'm afraid I would have to insist you leave, Sir. You are upsetting the patrons.” At that he dipped his head to the numerous Akalak staring at the man in venomous anger. “If you do not move then I will have to move you.” Felavik warned somewhat shakily.

Vikor was going crazy. This was danger. Real danger. That man could cut them up. Stab 'em, slice 'em, run for the hills. Do something, Vikor cried within his mind. Vikor was clouding his mind. Felavik could feel himself grow irrational. Was this irony?

Several deep, steadying breaths later Felavik was starting to calm down. His struggles with Vikor were more like Anxiety attacks. Vikor had turned up just after he'd finally found quiet within. As a youth he had fear and anxiety. He had not known how to face things head on. When finally he had learnt the lesson of expelling your fears he had gained Vikor who was just a whole bunch of fear. It was untasteful.

Back to the situation at hand he spoke again “Could you come over here, milady?” He asked. If he could remove the woman from the situation that might put the Akalak to ease...

The Mouse and Blue Man

Postby Souris Blanche on May 20th, 2013, 11:28 pm

Souris was quite taken aback whenever she watched the situation roll somewhat out of control. Even the man who seemed to have authority over the other, wasn't as confident as he had previously appeared to be. Her eyes narrowed. He had asked for her to move. To get out of the situation. She was a very cooperative female, she was. But she also didn't want to leave and just let this situation get out of proportion.
To the man who's name she didn't know, she stood up and placed her hand on his shoulder, gave a comforting squeeze. But her face was smashed between quizzical and cautious. It seemed though of her intake on liquor, she was sobering up. She spoke to both of them, when she said:
"Now let's calm down." her voice was piercing now, and she was more aggravated than anything. She looked at the man fighting his personalities, the man who went by Saib. "You can calm down, I'm sure. Allow this man to help you." then, she looked at the man without much name to his face.
"And you," she tried to comfort him silently for a moment, with the grasp on his arm, "Don't embellish this. He is most likely drunk, and even if he isn't. I don't quite think he can help it." this sounded bad on her tongue, so she retraced her steps. "It can happen at the worst of times, to good people. To good Akalaks with their personalities. You can't say you've never disagree'd with your counterpart, yeah?" she stopped holding on. "If you're gonna take him away, don't blow this out of the water. There's no need. And if you take it someplace else, don't count on me ruling against him. I had already said I could handle him on my own."
Her face softened, and she realized she was being quite rude. She even felt like she was being pretentious. She lowered her voice to a hoarse whisper and the sober, uplifting sparkle returned to her eyes as she spoke to the Akalak.
"I'm sorry, yeah? I probably couldn't have handled it if it got any worse." a smile played on her lips. "But to the point that it was, it wasn't too bad. Don't make this any bigger than it was, please." her head did a short, slow wag, and a chuckle followed. She looked as though she were about to leave. She felt like she had more authority than the Akalak did, as though she were some sort of leader in the situation. Like the swinger vote. "I don't want to get someone in trouble if it isn't necessary."

Saib stared at the woman, both sides of him taken aback. Was she..defending him? After he just grabbed her? Usually when people told him to calm down it just irritated him more but the fact that she was being so kind had the same effect as a cold shower on him. Not only that but the man had a knife. He had nothing. "Can I talk to her? Please? You have nothing to gain now." He heard his other side whisper to him.

"Fine." He said out loud, relaxing for a second and letting his personalities switch places. This was the first time he'd ever done it willingly and it took more effort than he thought but he grinned when he did it, proud of himself for being able to do it. He immediately stopped grinning when he remembered the situation and sighing.

"Miss, I'm very sorry for my other side's behaviour. I didn't want to. I.." he blushed deeply, a stark contrast to his purple, tattooed skin."I actually prefer males to females. But he doesn't." He turned to the other Akalak. "And I'm very sorry for my behaviour. I have... let myself go." his other side growled at that statement and said angrily, "Come on don't tell them! You'll make us sound weak!" but he replied, "It's weaker not to ask for help!" he brought his attention back to the conversation at hand and continued, "I...I just don't feel like a proper Akalak nor Myrian, especially after I froze hunting. I got depressed and let him take over..I'm so sorry."
