History Kit was born somewhere between the cities, if her parents are a reliable source. They arrived on her aunt and uncle's doorstep in Alvadas when she was an infant and left her there with little more than a wave and a smile. Her mother was a performer whose faith in Ionu was unshakable and her fickleness in all other things unbelievable, and her father was a wizard who had left their duties behind to follow Kit's mother, the love of his life. Kit can count the times they came to visit over her short childhood on one hand. She remained an unwelcome presence in her aunt and uncle's household, which drove her to seek comfort and companionship in the streets of Alvadas, sometimes for days at a time. She made her own trouble, unhappy with the terribly conventional life her aunt and uncle managed within the city of illusions and doubly unhappy that she was not welcome to join them. To her aunt and uncle Kit was a feral child, raised more by the streets than them. As she grew older Kit's idolization of her distant mother encouraged her to seek a profession performing for a crowd. She worked to become an acrobat, learning in exchange for a small donation from her aunt and uncle and miscellaneous services from Darilava—an estranged, old and impotent Symenestra who'd made his home in Alvadas—And his 'sponsor' Whet, proud and self-proclaimed professional fraud, actor and beggar. The last time her mother ever visited, when Kit had seen only eleven autumns, she left Kit's father behind. He was sick, he was dying, and the old wizard sought desperately to pass on knowledge to his daughter, deliberately downplaying the dangers of magic until she had already begun to learn and felt the pleasure of casting, to be sure she would not turn him down. He died later, leaving her with scraps of insight into the nature of magic and a copy of the Treval Codex marked in his private cipher she had stolen from his room before her aunt and uncle scoured it for things worth selling. As soon as the opportunity presented itself Kit eagerly fled her aunt and uncle's tolerance at the earliest opportunity, finding a place for herself with the last of their generosity and starting her career busking in the street. Character Begins Play In the spring of 511 AV, something happened, and Kit left Alvadas with the intent of traveling, Ionu's gnosis emblazoned across her arm. For a while she stayed in Yahebah, and was met with suspicious minds who saw the gift of Ionu's illusions as no different from the spells that drove their users to madness. Unwelcome there, she worked on a ship traveling north, attaching herself to a group of travelers intent on Zeltiva in hopes that the 'University' they spoke of might hold some clue to her father's past, or insight on the cypher he had written. But on the Kabrin Road they were ambushed by Ravokian slavers, and could not drive them off. They drove Kit and all the others north, intent on selling them to the highest bidder, all the while Kit hid Ionu's blessing behind a veil of illusion, keeping it hidden as a tool to escape at the optimal moment. In Ravok, she was branded and sold as a slave, and in Ravok she left her 'master' with a useless eye, vanishing into the city and conjuring a new appearance to throw off any attempts to find her. Rogue's Gallery Important Influences Xincen Rowan Impression: "A half-mad sorcerer who twisted my life sideways . . . Papa." Character Type: NPC First Appearance: Oh Daughter Mine Latest Appearance: Most Recent Thread Description: Xincen was handsome once; his face strong, full of hard lines. His hair is white, yet thick. He is too thin, like something left out too long to dry in the sun. The wizard’s hands were thick and knobby with arthritis, and caused him great pain. Xincen himself was unused to bending and completely unfamiliar with breaking, even as his body folded and died around him. The Whole Story: The weakening of his body took Xincen by surprise. In the end it wasn’t magic that brought an end to him, but a wasting illness, slowly fading away in a bed far from home. It frustrated him to no end, and terrified him with thoughts of an enemy he was not properly equipped to fight. It was time that killed him in the end, but not before he instilled a bit of his legacy in his daughter. In Kit's mind her father serves as both an object lesson of what overgiving can do to a mind and a mentor figure. Her initiation into the dangerous world of magic is entirely his fault, and she often views him as man who was willing to drag her down with him to keep from being lonely on the way down. Still, his lessons and sayings are her mantras against the darkness madness that personal magic can bring, and there is a tenderness and kinship in her heart for her deceased father in spite of everything he did—and tried to do—to her. Whet Carsma Impression: "Fun to talk too, terrible to depend on." Character Type: NPC Earliest Appearance: Dummy Link One Latest Appearance: Dummy Link Two Description: Whet dresses richly. It doesn’t matter that he can’t truly afford to dress richly; he does it anyway. He loves soft clothes, long fur coats and cloaks. He has a roguish smile and wavy dark hair, a handsome face and a voice that resonates through the deep places of your chest. He is always moving always excited, or pretending to be excited, or being sarcastic. Never a dull moment spent with Whet. The Whole Story: Whet is, he will proudly tell anyone who listens, completely useless. At everything. He cannot hold onto his women, he cannot mend his clothes, he cannot cook dinner; as a general rule, Whet is terrible at just about everything except convincing other people to give him their money. While it works well enough once it has a tendency to fail once people realize what’s going on—which is why, he said, Syliras is the most stingy city in all of Mizahar. Now in Alvadas he didn’t want to take that chance again, and he happened across Darilava—a lovely man, all considered, fangs and poison aside, and where Whet was good for nothing Darilava was good at many things, but quite terrible at bring in money. Together, he often says, they are almost a whole person. Darilava Impression: "Unchanging to a fault, an old man whose caring is as abrasive as his hate." Character Type: NPC Earliest Appearance: Dummy Link One Latest Appearance: Dummy Link Two Description: Whether it’s travel or age that did the work, Darilava looks old. The easy grace of his race is still there, his motions smooth and graceful, but there’s a frailty to him movements, thin wrinkles drawn about his face. He is extremely tall and strangely thin, rarely smiles and rarely frowns. He is remarkably spry for his age, even now. The Whole Story: Darilava came to Alvadas a dozen years ago, and was occasionally visited by other Symenstra. He told no one why he left his home, or why he stayed away—though it must have been important to take him from his people. If he had a reason for coming to Alvadas, he told no one, and no one much cared to ask, but many accused. Many were uncomfortable. His visitors tapered away, and his stash of mizas dwindled. He took to the streets with some skills he had learned, but did not know how to work a crowd or pull in money. Instead of getting gold he got sneers. Then he found Whet, and his personable nature nearly made up for where he came from. Darilava rarely speaks to those he entertains, so they are left in the dark about his person. In his old age he has grown cynical, harsh and very blunt. Now he makes a living with Whet acting as his spokesman, and money is coming in at a steady rate. Rechail Impression: "Will bleed to keep her and hers safe, and you'll bleed before she thinks you one of them." Character Type: NPC Earliest Appearance: Idle Hands Latest Appearance: Dummy Link Two Description: She inherited some of her mother's slow development, leaving her seeming ten or maybe eleven years old. She has short-cropped black hair and a somber face. Were it not for her blue-tinted skin and the purple veins along her right arm, one might mistake her for wholly human. Rechail has dozens of little scrapes and scars from where she's gotten into fights. Her smallness may hint that she lost most of those fights. That assumption has lead to the downfall of many mean-spirited children. Rechail is looked up to by the thieves as a protector and leader. If adults catch them, escape is their only option, but more than often they get into scraps with other children, and in them none of the thieves are more reliable than Rechail. When she fights it's mean, dirty and utterly vicious, and the thieves are both glad to have her on their side and nervous at the thought of going against her. What makes it worse is that Rechail is a girl of extremes; whatever scale balances between reason and wrath in her head is hard to read, at least until she's shoved you against the wall and drawn back her fist. She has an innate distrust of anyone older than her. Still, she is loyal to the thieves who work under her, and they in turn are loyal to her. The Whole Story: There was a smith of the Terras clan that wandered the world, hoping to find secret techniques that might improve her smelting. She did not find any, but when she came through Alvadas on her way back to Sultros she fell into a terrible fight, and her arm was severed from her body. She irked out a living in Alvadas, but found herself unwilling to return to Sultros shamed, and so lived like a husk in Alvadas' lower streets, plagued by bitterness and self-loathing. Rechail was her daughter by a human father, and her mother considers it a considerable gift of mercy that she did not simply drown Rechail like she would drown all her children hence. Rechail was abandoned to the Ornery Orphanage when she was eight, which she escaped from when she could not take the abuse, and made what living she could on the streets. No one decided to make a group of thieves; they were kids in the street at first, then kids that sometimes stole, and then they were just straight up thieves. Shy Impression: "Proof you don't gotta say anything to get what you want across." Character Type: NPC Earliest Appearance: Idle Hands Latest Appearance: Dummy Link Two Description: Shy is completely mute, with no way of communicating aside from a few half-learned Pavi gestures, writing and body language. She is diminutive, nearly a height as Rechail without the strength that makes it not matter for her leader. She is slim and slight, with a forgettably pleasant face with green eyes framed by yellow-brown locks down to her ears. Shy is usually subdued, but when she wishes to make herself known she does it physically in a way that leaves no questions about where she stands. She is cautious in all things and even slower to trust. Her friendship is an intimate thing hard-won, and worth the fight to get it. The Whole Story: When Shy was born she was named Vivi, but it didn't stick. When she didn't talk for a while, her parents said she was shy, endearing at first. But when they realized she was never going to learn, it became both a name and a curse. At the best of times, she was treated like a pet, and at the worst like a failure. She endured much abuse from both her parents, but she stayed because she still thought they might love her one day. Until once she crept by their door and heard them negotiating a price for her with a Symenestra. She slipped out the window that day and never looked back. Rechail was one of her only friends, and when Shy found her and pleaded for help, Rechail did just that. The two pledged to help survive the city together, whatever the odds. Nim Impression: "Put a padlock on your pockets if you mean to meet this girl." Character Type: NPC Earliest Appearance: The Right People Latest Appearance: Dummy Link Two Description: Nim has a sunny smile, even face, long, dark hair and clever little fingers with an olive skin tone that she swears up and down to be evidence of Benshiran parentage. She is the tallest of the thieves, no question, her body already beginning its maturing, leaving her gangly in her own skin and awkward in the way teenagers often are. Where the others are guarded and wary Nim is cheerful and welcoming even to people she is actively trying to rob, and even more upbeat with people whose company she actually enjoys. However, if she gets the chance, she will steal from you, no matter how much she likes you. The Whole Story: When pressed, Nim claims to need the funds to help her poor family make it through another day. And it's all lies. Nim's real name is Thera, and she comes from a pleasant family with parents who love her and have enough funds to keep her afloat without stealing. She's a kleptomaniac. Nim wants boundlessly. She wants what you have and she wants what they have, she wants what everybody has. She wants everything that everyone in the world possesses to be hers. It wasn't the authorities that caught her, though; it was Rechail. And the half-Isur didn't have as much interest in justice as she did a partner. "Auntie" Summer Impression: "Never really got along with her, she just went along with it for my uncle's sake." Character Type: NPC Earliest Appearance: Dummy Link One Latest Appearance: Dummy Link Two Description: Some women grow big and matronly following childbirth, but Summer is not one of them. She’s thin, and reedy, and the suspicion is that she went barren after giving birth to her fifth child. Her hair is long, wavy and brown. She is thin, almost petite, and her skin and hair still hang tight to their youth. Only the weight of her eyes and the shaking of her hands betray her. The Whole Story: Summer is Markus’ second wife. His first died in childbirth, and gave him a sickly daughter. Summer married him to cement a lasting deal with a trader he had done business with for years in Syliras, and connect the family by blood. She was fifteen at the time, and quickly proved to be a great deal more fertile than Markus’ pervious wife, and better suited to childbirth. She proved to be a dutiful wife, in many ways. Summer went to great lengths to amuse her children, sewing together dolls for them and telling stories to the whole herd of them. Now she sells some of her dolls to other parents, for their children, now that many of hers have outgrown their own. She’s a creature of doubts and what-ifs, and keeps them away by insisting to herself and others that her way was the best she could have hoped for. It is difficult to say whether she loves Markus or holds onto him because letting go proves her life a mistake. "Uncle" Markus Impression: "My whole life under his roof was one long awkward moment.." Character Type: NPC Earliest Appearance: Dummy Link One Latest Appearance: Dummy Link Two Description: Markus is a balding man with a smile that refuses to stick. He has restless hands, always clutching and wringing and worrying. He is clean-shaven; with a frank face and oily blond hair so pale it might be white. The man is wide, stocky and strong. The Whole Story: Kit’s uncle by blood, Markus is a merchant, taking advantage of the heavy traffic of travel along the Suvan Sea. He sells an enormous conglomeration of things from across the continents, is thrifty and smart in his business, but there’s an air of melancholy about him. His sister traveled on the road, spreading news of the glory of Ionu to the world, while he stayed behind and sold goods from visitors to visitors. He is a good man at heart, but also a weak man, and his jealousy seeps through into everything he does. So he protects his family, is kind when he can be . . . But the only thing that burns truly hot in him is his love for Ionu, and the fear that he’s failed, and sometimes that gets through. It’s difficult to say whether he loves Summer or clings to her because she’s all he has. Dummy Name Impression: "My name is Kit and I will describe Dummy in one sentence here." Character Type: NPC or PC Earliest Appearance: Dummy Link One Latest Appearance: Dummy Link Two The Whole Story: Longer description including the details of their meeting and subtleties of their relationship that Kit's sentence cannot cover. Acrobat's Guide I've been noticing that I have been getting exceptionally lazy with my acrobatics since I've come back. It's been about a season, and it's now dawning on me that I only have a vague idea of what kid is doing to perform her tricks. Enough to fool people that don't know better maybe, but I feel like some authenticity is worth a little research. So I've been gathering videos to help me get a better idea of what Kit's doing again. Some of them are the same ones I used last time. Most of what I am going to share up here are random conjectures and musings on other, sometimes related things, all to do with acrobatics. Dress Kit's acrobatics was gymnastic in nature before it was anything else. Look up female gymnasts; they almost always were a leotard, a one-piece garment that leaves the legs and arms bare and holds so close to their body it's almost like a second skin. What's the benefit in that? For one, it fits close, so there's no air drag, though I'm not sure if air drag is really that big a deal when it comes to these things. What doubtlessly is, however, is the freedom they allow the gymnast's arms and legs. That can do whatever they want, total freedom of movement, with no risk of being caught on or slowed down by cloth wrapped around their legs. So, the ideal performing clothes for Kit would be a leotard, to give Kit modesty and freedom both. However, those were not invented until the 1800s. This means, Kit is stuck with what she has already, unless she sews up one for herself one day. She's still gotta wear something though. I lean toward simple stuff, trousers and breeches with short legs that hang loosely enough to give her freedom of movement, and a sleeveless top of some kind. The rest? Aesthetic and ornament. It is also entirely possible that the standard leotard is reserved for professional gymnastics that are graded less on entertainment qualities and more on presentation of skill. In which case, I may be able to go crazy, with sashes, ribbons and other things . . . Once Kit gets enough skill to use them without having them set her off, of course. General parkour is more generous. If I assume that gymnastic stunts can be performed in parkour gear just as well, all my worries are unfounded. But it still means that clothing must be picked for freedom of movement and space for the arms and legs to work their magic without getting snags. What this also means is that there is reason to be cautious when dealing with certain kinds of clothing. For instance, armor. Kit will be forever barred from mail and plate armor because of her preference; there's no way to move around them. Even leather armor seems as though it may be overly restrictive. Be that as it may, I believe that if she has a piece of leather armor made especially for her, (in this case translation to the 150gm extra 'Form-Fit') she may be able to move around freely, even in leather armor. Even without that she may still be more lithe than the average character. But if I want to make full use of her ability, I want to be sure that I have that extra. I am less picky about actual clothes because they are not reinforced to take abuse and stop it, so it seems to me generally less likely for their fit to matter than armor. I mean, hell, even if something Kit's wearing is getting in the way she can usually just rip it off. Stretches I have been good about making sure she stretches in general, though occasionally I skim or skip over it for the sake of having an interesting thread, but the more I watch these videos the more I realize that I was having Kit do the wrong kinds of stretch. All of these various moves . . . Kit won't actually know the names, it'll just be something she does, but all her stretches will need to be just right still. And just remembering back to some of my more recent threads, I'm realizing she was doing completely random stretches unrelated to what tricks she wanted to pull off. This is another reason why I have collected this video guide. So that I can study and find out what stretches I need for Kit to accomplish certain feats before I go ahead and take liberties that make me look ignorant to people who know what they're talking about. Names And Identities As a marked one of Ionu, Kit is more than capable of adopting new appearances and identities to adjust to new circumstances. New identities prove more than helpful, whether it's trying to play safe while doing something illicit, avoiding recognition in a place where her regular appearance would raise too many questions, or just for the hell of it. Kit will often try to reinforce the illusion that her seemings are different people by acting in a different way. These are not alternate personalities, but rather affections and exaggerations that Kit adopts to better serve her purposes. Sample First Names: Sly, Isa, Tia, Tam, Eli, Lis, Isi, Amy, Lia, Sam, Key, Ivy, Nim, Fox, Ann, Ira, Ash, Sal, Vin, Wit, Vai, Ava, Cel Sample Last Names: Wider, Shins, Keyes, Locke, Keene, Heart, Green, Arasa, Mazzi, Clock, Minra, Weird, Verse, Night, River, Rogue, March, Bough, Tavat, Leste Created Identities Shy Carsma Earliest Appearance: Setting Up Description: Due to the limits of her Illusionism Kit is forced to work within her own bodily dimensions or risk discovery on touch, and so she remains whipcord thin, athletic and diminutive in stature. In an effort to create as much distance between Kit and Shy as possible, Kit played with her coloration and gave a olive tint to her skin, hinting at some distant Benshiran heritage. Her hair is an earthy brown that falls easily about her shoulders. Shy's face is missing many of the harsh lines that Kit naturally has, with fuller cheeks and startling blue eyes, leaving a softer, gentler and younger impression. It is also this persona's greatest weakness; while her body is mostly built along the same lines as Kit's, an observant mind who touched it might notice the discrepancy between the feel of Kit's face under their fingers and the look of Shy's. The final piece of Kit's disguise is a bird's tongue coin, a clever little device that when in the back of the throat raising the voice's octave. It makes Shy sound entirely unlike Kit . . . And younger, too. Purpose: After escaping slavery, it became suddenly very inconvenient for Kit to wear her own face. This is the first alternate identity she ever developed, to help her move about Ravok without drawing attention to herself. Shy is a quiet, unremarkable everygirl. Affectation: As her first identity, there is so far little difference aside from visual between Kit and Shy. Her prayer is that visual distinction is enough to keep lookers off her trail, but she does not even attempt to disguise her interests or habits. Only her illusionism makes this disguise a successful one. Her one attempt at disguise is avoiding steady employment as a performer, for fear her former master might hear word, suspect and unravel the illusion. Ani Early Earliest Appearance: Dummy Link One Description: What do they look like? Purpose: Why does Kit use them? Affectation: How are they different from Kit? Ria Thorn Earliest Appearance: Caught In The Web Description: Ria's body follows the same curves and curiosities that belong to Kit, disguised by a seeming of fair skin and heavy freckles. She prefers to coil her hair into a braid at the back to give it distinction from her ordinary tail, colored black with a sheen by glamour's touch. Her eyes are a piercing green, her face heart-shaped and unmarred except by her own freckles. Purpose: Ria exists to provide Kit with a means to explore without being linked to her more public identity. She is a creature invented to stalk through backroom bars, walk through the night and engage in activities that might be frowned on in her other identities. Ria is a rogue, scoundrel and hero. Affectation: Ria is bold in action and reserved in words, revealing little about herself, even in lie. Her at least Kit finds herself more easily falling into the role of Akajia's worshiper, preferring to hide in shadows where Shy might hide in plain sight. Kit does her best to keep Ria an enigma, which often makes her seem distant and aloof at best and irritatingly reticent at worst. Dummy Identity Earliest Appearance: Dummy Link One Description: What do they look like? Purpose: Why does Kit use them? Affectation: How are they different from Kit? |

Sorcery And Gnosis Gestures and incantations on their own, as the lore dictates, mean nothing in personal magic. They are not a formula you plug into the world to make things happen, not pleas made in the name of the divine to appeal for aid. They are focus aids and nothing more. Still, at least with Kit, they have a tendency to follow patterns. I play gestures as . . . Mental roadmaps, worn in by time. When Kit does a particular spell and makes a motion, it was first because the motion seemed indicative of what she wanted to do, and that helped. But as time went on it became more than that. I once heard of a student who learned to associate all manner of equations from a class with colors, and when the time came for a test they wore colored bangles along their arm, so they would know those equations. That's more or less what I treat Kit's gestures as. Which is why it is important to me to keep them consistent, and why I am putting all this here. Reimancy Kit controls the movement of her res largely through the motion of her arms, imitating either actions that she wishes the res to perform for her, such as making a shoving motion to drive the res to transmute and push something or someone, or simply miming the motion she guesses match the situation best, such as moving her hand in a circle to attract around res and circle around it. Most especially complicated spells she practices carefully, deliberately assigning them to particular gestures, every one unique. Dummy Spell
Making: Describe the gesture that conjures the spell, including little twerks of the fingers, waves of the hands ad how the res actually appears as the spell develops, and what the spell looks like in the end. Then describe the effect of the spell and its immediate uses both large and small. Dummy Spell
Making: Describe the gesture that conjures the spell, including little twerks of the fingers, waves of the hands ad how the res actually appears as the spell develops, and what the spell looks like in the end. Then describe the effect of the spell and its immediate uses both large and small. Auristics The inverted triangle is an important part of Kit's auristic gestures. As a new way to experience the world around her, Kit considers Auristics a mystic tool more in line with Ionu's purpose, and so integrates their symbol into its use. When trying to lock onto auras at an uncomfortable distance, Kit will often frame the object at a distance in an inverted triangle and peer through, or outline it with a finger as though drawing an inverted triangle in the air. To focus on particular senses, Kit will often trace the outline of the wrong-side-up triangle on the organs needed to normally take in that sense. Left eye for sight, left palm for touch, left ear for hearing, tongue for taste. Reading people is a special case, and to do it Kit draws one over her heart. Illusionism To use illusionism, all Kit really needs to do is will it into existence and it will be so, though for aesthetic purposes Kit prefers this to either remain obfuscated or simply out of sight when she works her magic. The only mechanical limits on her illusionism are this; she can have no more than ten illusions active at one time, and they must affect the same sense. Each of these can last up to one hour after 'casting,' though she can sacrifice any of these multiple illusions to make another longer. However, as there is no 'cooldown' my interpretation is that any illusions in the immediate vicinity can be refreshed either as they end or shortly before they end, making things like prolonged illusory disguises feasible. When building disguises out of illusion, I operate as if every change is a separate illusion. Let us say that Kit wishes to become her Shy persona. She must change her skin color (One), her face shape (Two), and her hair color. (Three) If they are exposed, then she must disguise her Illusionism mark (Four) and slave brand (Five) as well. This means that, worst case scenario, five of Kit's ten illusions are occupied, leaving five more for her to wreak havoc with, though they must be visual. |

Religion And Faith Kit believes the gods to be beings of great and terrible power that embody aspects of the world, with likes and dislikes, grudges and gratitude. While she has a central deity that she centers her worship on, it is not because she finds Ionu especially powerful or especially central to the makeup of the world. She believes in a polytheistic world, where many gods do many different things, and follows Ionu the mostly closely out of loyalty, love, habit and nurture. All the same she sees no reason for this to keep her from including other gods in her prayers. For all she loves Ionu, Kit has as of yet recieved no prompting that leads her to believe that they would mislike the thought of turning to other deities outside of their own purview. Kit will without irony offer a prayer to Akajia, Rhaus or Kelwyn. However, as she considers gods things with personalities, allies and enemies, she is especially wary of deities whose purview conflicts with Ionu's own. As of such, she elects never to pray to gods such as Syna, Tyveth or even Eyris, whose natures imply a dismissal of seeming to reveal what lies beneath, though this wariness never takes the turn into hatred. Kit's day to day worship is not done for the sake of calling down divine aid in the form of miracles or favor. When she asks for Ionu's help, she wants to make herself tricky and clever. When she whispers Akajia she wants to be quiet and secret. Kit's religion is based not around what she wants to happen to the rest of the world, but what she wants to become herself. It is remarkably difficult for her to feel as though she was let down by her gods . . . In Kit's mind when things go wrong it is more likely that she wasn't following her gods' example closely enough than some crime of negligence on the part of those she calls to. Ionu
Her most favored god by any measure, when Kit prays to Ionu she is at her most affectionate. Theirs is the name that was whispered into her ear in the cradle, whose miracles danced around her in Alvadas as she grew up. Kit considers illusion a great gift to humanity, and finds the way that their follows savor sensation to be beautiful in its own way. In Kit's mind there is no meaningful distinction between illusion and reality. If stew tastes like water, looks like water, smells like water . . . Then it is water as far as anyone can tell! It is in that that Kit sees the true miracle of illusion. She considers the freedom that illusion gives over the world the ultimate freedom, the freedom to be anyone you want . . . Since being marked by Ionu her faith has only deepened. If there is any disquiet in her heart involving the Trickster, it is only her wishing that they could be more close. Akajia
Kit's interest in Akajia began when she learned that Ionu and Akajia were on good terms. Whether they were parent, child, sibling, friends . . . Made little difference. Their rumored alliance gave Kit a goddess to turn to to appeal to her sense of curiosity without fear of betraying Ionu. Her faith grew a little more deep when she spent more time on the streets, sneaking about as a child and soon Kit found herself praying to Akajia to keep secrets as well as seek them. Now her faith is deeper than ever before, and her loyalty to Akajia comes second only to Ionu. Yshul
Kit's relationship with Yshul is purely business and off-and-on. In her early childhood Kit prayed a great deal to Yshul as she slipped items of worth away from their ungrateful owners and into her own very grateful hands. She regards the god of thievery not with affection but with a sort of distant respect, both as a daughter of Akajia and goddess of a domain that she sometimes steps into. While Kit makes no effort to pray to her routinely, she offers Yshul a nod before every little theft she attempts, and gives one tenth of what she steals to Yshul if it can be divided up. |
Unless Otherwise Stated, Expect Kit To Have Already Disguised Herself With Illusionism As 'Shy' In Every Ravok Thread. |
