PC Name Vyvian Physical Information Race: Symenestra Birthday & Age: 90th of Fall, 495 AV; 18 Gender: Male Physical Description: Tall, pale and slender like the rest of his race, Vyvian has the normal physical characteristics for Symenestrans. His skin is totally unblemished, something he is very particular about. His hair, alabaster white, is messily looked after, but still forms a stylish mop on his head. (Exactly like my avatar, with white hair instead of blonde) Character Concept Personality: Vyvian is a quiet type, not being the one for conversation or even socialising. When he does speak it'll be useful information or his thought process that he is going through. It's not he dislikes speaking, he just doesn't see the need to. When he is forced to make casual conversation, he grows extremely worried and tense, having no idea what to really say, so replies monosyllabically to end the conversation as fast as possible. Vyvian likes the repetitive, especially music. He wears a ring on his left hand, one on his index finger one on his smallest. When he has nothing to actively do, is thinking or is listening to someone else, he often takes it off and spins them round endlessly and repetitively. He often fiddles with other objects too, such as tapping his fingers in complex rhythms or twisting his hair around. He draws comfort from his repetitive movements and as such will do them whenever he is nervous or needs comforting. Physical contact with others is a complete no-no. He is instinctively scared of other people, the closer the scarier, and often goes totally rigid if touched. Indeed his greatest fear is other people, not loneliness or the dangers of the wilderness. Yet despite this he still has emotions, and still feels loneliness. His mind is a constant battle of the fear of people and the pain of being alone because of his self-exile. He is a practically constantly depressed person, and yearns for a person to understand how he feels and to love him, at least like him. Ethics - Due to Vyvian's extreme detachment to society in general, he holds little to no empathy to anyone but his own race, which he helps as much as he can without leaving his comfort zone. As far as Vyvian is concerned, the end justifies the means. Likes - Machines, small detailed things, Fiddling, music, being alone. Dislikes - Chatting, humans for their tendancy to be social, too bright a light (he spends nearly all his time in Kalinor and is very oversensetive to noise or light), crudely made things, rough things. Character History Pre-Creation - Vyvian was born into a kind loving family. The obviously deceased mother was sadly missed by Vyvian's father, and he heard a lot about her from him. Yet despite all this Vyvian never really connected to either his parents. It wasn't that he disliked them.. he just felt detached from them.. from the rest of the world. Vyvian's recessiveness began to show at a young age: he would never want to play with any children his age, be they Dra or not, and much preferred picking specks of dust off the ground, or fiddling endlessly with cutlery. Eventually he started to make his own wealth by repairing small, intricate devices of all shapes and sizes, be it watches, small purses, hidden compartments in drawers and other things. More and more often Vyvian had been straying to the edges Kalinor despite its danger spending as much time as possible alone. Most recently he has started working on crossbows, which seem to totally fascinate him.
