Karliah Firestride Name: Karliah Firestride Race: Kelvic (Horse), Raised Drykas Birthday and Age: 6th of Fall, 511 AV. Currently 2 years old. Gender: Female Physical Description: Karliah has medium length red hair and grey eyes. Her skin is naturally pale but having lived with the Drykas she has acquired a tan. Her arms and legs are slightly longer than average, her teeth are large but straight and strong, and her hair is very thick and somewhat wiry despite being straight. She is about five foot nine, and not finished growing yet. Secret : Character Concept: Personality – Mostly docile, prefers to be in small group or family settings. Appears to be shy. Karliah is somewhat passive and is interested in learning a little about everything. Though Karliah is not bonded, she is very close to her adoptive father Zavin. Ethics – Karliah’s ethics are aligned with the Drykas people, though if she sees something against her ethical code she might not step in unless it affects her or a loved one directly. She takes the “live and let live, unless you hurt me” code to heart. Likes – Karliah enjoys running in either form, weaving, exploring, socializing, and helping others. Like all Kelvic, she is looking for something that she cannot name, but that pull does not stop her from enjoying all life has to offer. Dislikes – Karliah does not like enclosed spaces, dense forests, or areas that prevent her from moving quickly. She also does not like hostility. Though she also dislikes fighting, she will not back down if she feels that it is important. Windmarkings: Secret : Character History: Pre-Creation – Karliah was born in Sylira but was given to the Drykas when her biological mother died. No one seems to know anything about her father and Karliah isn’t concerned about it. The man that adopted her into the “Amythest Clan of the Drykas” is called Zavin Strongstride. He was not able to produce children of his own and eagerly took in the infant Karliah while the Clan was staying near Sylira in the Fall of 511 AV. He discovered Karliah was a Kelvic when she switched forms in order to walk across the tent instead of crawl. She bonded with a Strider when she was about a year old, the Strider was also a yearling. The two have a strong bond that seems more familial than anything else. Karliah's Strider is a filly named Breeze, after the Strider's carefree temperament. Karliah is only two years old but she appears to be about sixteen or seventeen. Due to her Kelvic heritage she has the lifespan and age modifiers of a horse. History: A frequenter of the Herald's Arms, Allan was a man without ambition. He spent every day training, but not to join the knights. No, he trained so that he could become a walking Adonis, could get any woman in Syliras he wanted. When that started to fail - horribly, I might add, it's a wonder he is still unable to hold his own in a brawl - he decided to try his luck in Zeltiva. Without the skills to make such a journey, he was about to give up until the raiders found him. They noticed his strong physique, and the fact that he was alone. It was near the end of their time in Syliras, but thought that they would still attempt to see if he would join the other men who had volunteered. At the mention of "bolstering the ranks of the Drykas" he quickly decided that he would join these strangers on horses. During the trip, Allan has proven himself to be nearly useless... except in the kitchen. He somehow managed to go from burning everything he touched to baking beautiful bread with all of the ladies - just not in the way he had imagined. Rukairn now hopes that he will be able to take to a Drykas's life as quickly.
