A peek at the character sheet.

Hey guys and gals~ So just starting out in this site and having gotten a bit of my character sheet done only to realize to continue on I had to ask the help desk. Seriously I hope I did that right.

Anyway on top of that I have never made a in-depth profile like this and I really want to make the best character I can. I like Edelweiss, and I think he's going to be a lot of fun once I get the things I need sorted out; but I want to ask what some experience role players opinion on him is.

Does he need more flaws, does he sound believable? Should I write more of his history, should I read anything to give him more information like what he did during a certain time or even how his parents reacted? I am sure there is more to look at and I would love someone to poke around it and give me a heads up to something that could be a bit much or not enough.

Just so, his skills are for a job I am asking about in the Help desk; so you can ignore those since I have not shown anything in his history to get the skills he has aside from animal husbandry until I am sure his job is manageable. Anyone who helps is super loved, if to many embarrassing things are wrong feel free to throw a pm instead of posting here if you like.

Thank you gals and guys in advance!

IN my experience, characters become developed and well-rounded through gameplay. If you want your PC to have a more detailed history, try doing flashback threads about relevant events. Let your characters flaws and quirks come out as you thread, and let the character evolve naturally, rather than trying to lock yourself into a rigid set of behaviors.

You do not have to justify anything in your starting package with your history. Every PC gets the starting package regardless. Justification can make for a more cohesive character, but ti's not necessary.

The biggest problem I see with your history is that Mizahar does not have any small villages. The wilderness is far too dangerous, so the only way for people to survive is in one of the large cities. I recommend taking a look at the City List and finding one that works for you :)

Also, while it's possible for a kelvic to be born of two humans, it is extremely rare. You might think about whether at least one of your parents might have been a kelvic :)

Hope this helps!

Actually Alea, as it's been written in the lore . . . "Once it was established that the Kelvic factor seemed to skip multiple generations since it was infected with the Divine Djed Storms of The Valterrian, most of the secrets of the creation of the Kelvic race as a whole were lost. Harder to study, these rare beings often lay dormant in bloodlines for generation upon generation before cropping up unexpectedly in human offspring." So it is not only possible for kelvics to be born of two human parents, but quite plausible.

Other than that she's right to the best of my knowledge, though.

@Alea Davenport, Thank you. I didn't know that about the cities. Ick looks like I will be rewriting his information for the day.

@Kit, thankies. I thought I has read that it could be skipped I wasn't sure. >< Saves me having to reread all the Kelvic information again.

Hi, Edelweiss!

I really like your CS; your character is unique (not a wolf or tiger Kelvic) and your writing is very detailed. I know you're wandering the Sea of Grass right now, but if you're ever in or near Kenash, I'd love to thread with you! I'm a bushbaby Kelvic and would love the opportunity to rp with another Kelvic.

Hello Dulcie.

Thank you for the complement!
Edelweiss will be going that way pretty soon as he makes his way to Avanthal. I would be very happy to role play with you once he gets his little tail there~ What a nice animal to pick by the way! So cute with their tiny hands and big eyes. >< I have a stuffed animal of one, but its bright pink. XD
