A question I'm sure I'm overlooking the answer to

How is currency earned here? I see nothing about it in the price list and I don't see any other topics about money.

Kera, characters tend to earn money by holding down a job. There is a list of potential occupations and their salaries in the Master Price List. Jobs are negotiated with the Storyteller of your city via private message, and you need to do two threads a season (every three months real-time) showing you fulfilling your role in that job, in order to qualify for wages.

Quests sometimes also award money, or items that can be sold for money, but these are more along the lines of windfalls than a regular source of income.

Is there a place where there are quests to be accepted or are quest just made up by the RPers and then prizes are awarded by the storyteller?

Quests are run by Storytellers. An ST will usually advertise plenty before their quest actually begins, so keep an eye on the OOC threads in your city. But keep in mind that not all quests are guaranteed to have a monetary reward. Your best bet is to get a job, as Alses suggested
