Skills Question

Postby Halin'a on December 19th, 2013, 7:45 pm

So I'm thinking of tweaking my skills a bit-- I'm still under 50 posts, so I believe that's allowed?

Anyway, I was wondering-- Is Intuition Accuracy a skill? Basically what it says on the tin: How accurate/how much you can glean from your intuition. Like, looking at a crowded bar room, there's a bunch of people, and if you're a novice, something tells you to stay away from a certain area, but you don't know why/because of whom. If you're competent, you know it's a danger from a person, and so on.

I don't think intuition really counts as a skill... It's not really something you can train, is it? You'd be better off just going with Observation, and if you want that have intuition, just put it down to luck or something. As long as you're not constantly avoiding danger in situations where you'd have no reason to know it's dangerous, then it shouldn't be a big deal.

But if you want some sort of spidey-sense, that sounds to me like you're looking for some sort of magical discipline.

Also, keep in mind, getting into risky/bad situations is half the fun of Mizahar ;)

Okay, thanks. :)

and yes, Alea, it is-- but there are times when it's not so fun, such as when your character is going up against someone against whom they have no chance of winning. ;)

What you're looking for is Intelligence. Observation assists with it, but Intelligence is the collection, assimilation, and application of data, including that offered by your surroundings. :) Hope that helped.
