Cold, bony fingers wrapped around the Warden Knight's. The nuit's half closed as he breathed deeply through his knows. There was a brief moment, a flicker like electricity that passed between the two, but in an instant it was gone completely forgotten. Flannagin held the handshake a tick longer than was strictly necessary, squeezing it firmly with a vigorous shake, "Ah, Ser Josai Trevant. Truly an honor, an unspeakable privilege." He patted the knights hand with his other, giving one last firm shake before releasing.
Clasping his hands together before his chest he chuckled, extending both hands out at his sides in a theatrical manner, "Forgive our sudden arrival. We found ourselves about, traveling here and there and happened upon this glorious city of Peace" the last word was spoken with a sneer as he folded his hands in the sleeves of his robes, "It is peaceful, is it not good knight? In this city, with all its protection, its walls and boundaries?" He chuckled, reaching up a hand to push long fingers through greasy locks, "Forgive me I forget myself in my own banter. You understand, where I am from it is so very difficult to find a good conversation. We come as Ambassadors of Sahova, bearing a message for those in power."
He held up a finger, looking around a moment as if ensuring they were alone before finding Josai's eyes once more, "This message comes from the Archwizard and the Council of Five themselves. I quote it now, just as it was spoken to me. Listen carefully now, and understand." There was a pause for dramatic affect, "Alahea stirs in its slumber. It will awake once again."
Returning his hands to his sleeves, Flannagin straightened his back, placing upon his dead features the face of the Ambassador he was, "Sahova has come to realize how isolated it has become these last 500 years, and so it extends its hands now to Syliras. It requests negotiations to open trade between our two cities, and to foster friendship between our people. That is what has brought us here, to offer our humble pleads for a new future between our cities." His smile never faltered, "I have been given the power to speak in the name of Sahova here within the city of Syliras, in order to oversee any negotiations which you so graciously allow." He bowed his head respectfully.
