Hi, good samaritans!

1) How much do ghostnails and animal's blood (ingredients that Spiritists use) cost?

2) If I work as a Spiritist, do I have to deduct a portion of my seasonal income for basic ingredients/tools that I use regularly use?

You can't buy this stuff. Ghostnails need to be made and animal blood needs to be collected. Animal blood doesn't keep either. There is no price on things like this which is why they aren't on the price list.

Does that mean I have to RP slaughtering animals (chickens, goats, etc) for their blood every time I need to use it to make soulmist? And if I work as a Spiritist and draw seasonal wage by practising Spiritism, do I need to have make 92 threads on blood collecting every season?

Well, unless you are in a city that requires 92 threads to get paid, I don't think so. Most domains require two or three threads a season to prove your doing your job. So I'm sure it doesn't take that kind of thread work for proof.

My PC dabbles in spiritsm and uses her own blood. It's way more fun that way than say killing a chicken. She'd probably use other people's blood too but no one wants to hold still long enough. But think on it.. you can also use the chicken for food after you get done slaughtering it. Bonus score right? Spiritism and cooking experience in one thread... unless of course.. you like your chicken raw. I once saw someone eat raw chicken in a thread. Well, that's not technically true. The spiritist bit off the head of a chicken to get to the blood.

GP, that's still the grossest thing I've ever seen you do in thread.

Eew! The lore says you need a vial of blood to make a dough. Which sounds a lot! Though I am not sure how much exactly. But I'd rather not use my own blood

What I had in mind was actually make a deal with a local butcher so he could provide me with a steady supply of animal blood daily. Good thing is I only have to RP it once.

Rather than RP walking to a shop, talking with the NPC seller, walking back home, throat-cutting the poor animal, collecting blood, gathering stuff, walking to a haunted place, ghostbusting, etc. Which might even require a few threads?

I am not sure how people do it usually. But it sounds tedious to me. So I am asking

This is not a definitive answer, but more of a somewhat common sense one.

If you are an employee of a Spiritist then they would be supplying tools and materials - but anything you go out and buy for your own use would need to be deducted.

If you are working for yourself then you have a business and should have a business plan approved which would cover this point. If you don't have an approved business plan then I would expect you to deduct the costs every time you go out and buy things - costs which would be covered every time you charge someone for the work. If you are doing it just for your own benefit then of course you would need to pay for materials. As Gossamer pointed out materials you create yourself don't cost anything, but the creation would need to be RPed out (the effort of doing this covers the 'cost').

Before you get too grossed out.. think about it. You have to put the raw ingredients in your mouth to make soulmist and chew them up, spit them out, and then feed it to the ghost. I would much rather put my OWN blood in my mouth than say raw chicken/cow/pig blood.
