Spiritism and Soulmist

Postby Una Tanta on April 3rd, 2014, 10:44 pm

I was wondering, if you use different ingredients or different blood the lore suggests it changes the quality of Soulmist but doesn't dictate how or what a pure blooded individual means and what it changes in the Soulmist. Does anyone know more about this? Does changing the ingredients lengthen the durability of the soulmist or give it different properties? Because nothing is written up about alternative recipes can I have my PC explore other recipes and have successes and failures and come up with recipes that work? What does Pure blooded mean in the lore write up?

Thanks guys!

Spiritism and Soulmist

I will try to answer this questions since I have a ghost PC and thus familiar with Spiritism.

1. The soulmist quality are mostly the same no matter what kind of food you eat. You will produce soulmist which quality is determined by your skill level in Spiritism.

2. Of course, you can come up with other recipes as each individual has their own unique ingredients. For example, a Nuit Spiritist would ingest something like embalming fluid instead since they cannot digest normal food.

3. The lore is rather vague from "It is said that pure creatures yield the very best soulmist". By pure, I don't think they mean "pure-blooded", by pure, I think it means one who is great in power, for example, an Eiyon.

Of course, if anyone has a better answer, feel free to post it! :)
