Throwing her pack back over her shoulder, Firenze weaved her way through the trees. She'd been out in the forest for quite a few bells without any luck. Trying to get away from a particularly unruly bush that had snagged her cloak, she grabbed the bush with one hand and her cloak with the other and pulled as hard as she could. Trying to become disentangled from the gnarly branches that had quite the hold on the cloth, almost as if it was holding on to her trying take itself with her. The bush shook violently as she pulled, some of the deadening leaves flying off of it and the berries shooting off in all direction and bouncing to the ground.
"Let go you petching bush!" Firenze screamed at it, even though it couldn't respond or even that it knew she was cursing it, she felt better screaming at it. "You can not come with me!" Shake, shake, shake... riiiiiiiiip! The bush finally let it's hold go and Fire went flying to the ground, landing with a hard "Ooomph!" Her pack had landed underneath her, arms flung out and leaves tangled themselves into her hair. Growling, she looked over her spread out body at the bush, glaring at it as if it knew that she was angry at it for her falling on her rump.
The bush just sat there, like nothing happened, happy and content with the sun resting on it's leaves, oblivious to the angered Kelvic shooting daggers at it with her eyes. "This has got to be the worst day ever!" She screamed, throwing herself back onto the ground, staring up at the blue sky that peeked between the branches of the trees. Fat little tears rolled down the sides of her face, wetting the ratted hair surrounding her head. Gods. Why do you hate me so?
All she wanted was a little luck, but even the forest seemed to be against her. Pools of tears welled up in her eyes and flowed in miniature rivers over the side of her face as she laid on the floor of the forrest and gave in to a moment of self pity.
After a few chimes, sighing heavily, and trying to control the onslaught of emotion that over came her from the tussle with the bush, she got to her feet and dusted her cloak and pants off. She set about picking the leaves out of her hair and the few that had stuck to the back of her cloak.
A few more deep breaths and she finally started to feel a little better. She grabbed the bush one last time and shook it hard, almost in a way to say that she got the last hit in.
