Appearance: Naveena stands at a willowy 68 inches and a mere 115 pounds, although her lengthy appendages make her seem even taller. She posses a slender frame with lightly toned muscles and girlish curves. Her physique is carved from being an agile dancer, of which she has practiced her entire life. Naveena moves with such breathless grace, every shift of her frame creates a nearly hypnotic effect on those watching her.
Naveena has an oval-shaped face that is refined, elegant and beautifully made. Wide, expressive eyes dyed the color of violets are placed amongst a delicate nose, cupid-shaped lips and high cheekbones to create a sleekly angelic face. Her jawline is defined, yet soft in appearance, creating the appearance of a finely bred young woman of nobility in her features. There is an innocence to her features that is captivating to those whom encounter her.
Naveena's hair is of a lustrous, silver hue with faint traces of flawless ebony. It falls in slate-colored cascades down her back to her waistline. In some of the rare moments Naveena needs to keep her waves contained, she simply makes a long braid from her hair until she can let it loose again. As a contrast to silvery hair, Naveena has large, almond-shaped eyes that are bathed in a vibrant shade of amethyst. The pupils dominate the space like all Symenestra, however the color of the iris is to be swallowed up completely.
Naveena has a pair of small fangs carefully tucked away in a closed mouth that produce a potent venom to liquefy her meals. Her trademark closed-lipped smile was mostly developed to conceal her fangs. Along with the deadly fangs, Naveena has long, tipped fingernails the color of pitch. The fingernails, which act more like claws, are incredibly strong and kept neatly trimmed despite the hassle it is. Beneath her fair skin, faint traces of silvery veins can be seen if studied closely. While her race might provoke fear in others, Naveena has a gentle soul.
Character ConceptNaveena is best described as a quiet, soft-spoken woman with a captivating and ethereal beauty. When first encountering the young Symenestra, she comes across as shy or snobbish, however that is not the case at all. Naveena is a character that is in complete control of herself, mentally, physically, and emotionally. She practices such discipline within herself, people often image her as arrogant or selfish while that is clearly false. Naveena is a hard worker, a talented dancer, and a passionate person beneath her distant exterior. While she is not shy, the Symenestra does tend to be a loner. Naveena is a very private person, due to her strict upbringing.
Dancing brings out the passionate side of Naveena, letting her express herself in such a complete way that her dances often induce tears in her audience. Every movement perfect, flawless, and heartbreaking in its beauty. Dance is the only way Naveena has been able to effectively translate how she feels.
Naveena was raised amongst two older brothers who were revered as utterly perfect all their lives, which pushed her to be just as perfect her entire life. She is incredibly hard on herself and when her emotions threaten to break her composure, she shuts herself and all emotions down. This leads Naveena to feel very lonely, very detached from those around her, though she doesn't address those feelings. She flees from emotional upheaval and is a deeply-rooted commitment phobe. Naveena has a very thick, high wall that surrounds her at all times developed over her entire life but especially in the summer of 513 AV.
While Naveena is very closed-off with those around her, she is genuinely a lovely person with a caring heart. When she begins to be comfortable with certain people, they are able to see what a wonderful person she is. Those who are able to get past Naveena's initial defenses can very easily fall in love her charming personality, platonically or romantically. She has conditioned herself to be completely independent, with a strong will and a good heart. Naveena is the type of person that would risk anything for the safety of her loved ones once they earned a place in her heart. Due to this distinction, she can come across as cold to those that are not included in her circle of loved ones.

>Naveena Clematis remains unwedCharacter History Naveena was born by a surrogate mother to the Clematis Web within the caverns of Kalinor. There is little known about Naveena's birth mother, only that she was apparently of Vantha origin with deep black hair. Since Naveena's mother was harvested for the sole purpose of birthing a Symenestran child, Naveena was immediately adopted by Surianne Clematis following her birth as the third of Duvyvan and Surianne's children.
Being born as a third child placed Naveena is a very structured place within the Clematis web. The eldest sibling, Thakatos, was charged with the important duty of harvesting surrogate mothers for the future generations of the web. The second born sibling, Vinzeyo, was tasked with continuation of the religious rites in worship of Viratas. That left Naveena, the third born, with the obligation to learn the disciplines of art and dance.
Naveena was brought up in a very structured household, where her mother reigned with a criticizing eye and stern voice. While Surianne loved her children, she was especially hard on Naveena since she was being trained in the discipline she had mastered years before. Naveena, being incredibly perceptive, realized that Surianne's criticism and constant need for perfection in her children was due to her own upbringing.
Surianne was born within the Ambrosia web, which firmly believed in the Esterian faction amongst the Symenestran. They believed that mating Symenestran males to harvested females was not only a barbaric practice but diluted the pure bloodlines of the Symenestran people. As seen in their family tree, the Amrbosia web wives would always birth pure-blooded children, resulting in their own deaths. When Surianne fell in love with Duvyvan Clematis and decided to adopt the lifestyle of harvesting, her family became disgraced with her actions. While they are still apart of the web, family gatherings are always a tense time due to the division in beliefs. Surianne drives her children towards perfection to prove to her family that harvesting surrogate mothers makes the family stronger. Essentially, she is using her own children as ammunition against her home web.
Naveena was raised with the mindset of constant perfection, and anything less was not good enough. Her childhood consisted of diligent training of body and mind, in weaving and dance within the Kalinor caverns. When she was 16 years old, Thakatos returned home from a gleaning. With him, he brought a young Kelvic woman named Bo. Her animal form was of a black mare with blackened hair and eyes that spoke of mistrust. Her skillset lay in stealth and poisons, of which Thakatos thought was a great addition to the Cribellum. Strangely, Naveena and Bo grew to be great friends within Kailnor, despite the Kelvic being stolen from her home to live a sheltered life as an ornament within Kalinor. For years, the two found friendship and understanding within each other as each lived a beautiful life of entrapment by the Clematis web. That would all change the Summer of 513 AV.
That summer, the Kelvic woman's desire for escape from the silk-entangled caves of Kalinor hit its peak. While the Symenestran provided Bo with a comfortable life amongst their people, she could not stand being trapped underground while her equine legs longed for the plains of Cyphrus. One night when Naveena had snuck out to rant to Bo over her overbearing mother, she encountered Bo and Thakatos locked in a struggle for survival. Bo was in the process of escaping.
While Bo had strength and a ravenous determination, Thakatos was incredibly agile and quick to avoid Bo's advances before dealing his own. Naveena attempted to break the deathly struggle but neither retreated. Bo, pleading for Naveena's help in escaping, let her guard slip. Thakatos whipped his terrifying claw out against Bo's side, where she fell in agony. As Thakatos stood over her with a raised claw for the killing strike, Naveena leaped in front of Bo and pushed her brother backwards against the rock face. Thakatos's claw came down, scraping Naveena's arm before his body stumbled backwards against the cavern wall. Thakatos hit the wall hard, shattering his bones and skull due to the lack of armour adorning his form. His broken body sank to the cavern floor with slate-colored blood already visible. Naveena stood frozen, in utter shock, as she realized she had just killed her brother.
Bo jolted to her feet unsteadily with a hand fastened to her bleeding side, and yanked Naveena away from the body. Naveena remained in complete shock as Bo guided them through the caverns, having spent every ounce of her captivity mesmerizing the labyrinth. In parts that only Naveena could nagivate, she was able to break out of her broken mental state enough to carry Bo up the cavern walls. The two had managed to escape from the underground city of silk to great the break of the morning sun. In all Naveena's dreams and nightmares, she always sees this same sunrise bathed in the hue of blood.
From this night on, Bo and Naveena travelled away from the silk-covered caverns of Kalinor. While Naveena had no experience outside Kalinor, Bo used her expert skills in wilderness survival to keep them both alive while teaching Naveena. While Bo was loving the freedom to use her wits and limbs to survive, Naveena had a difficult time adjusting to life outside Kalinor. However, they managed to scrape by on the stolen goods of travelling merchants or the small game they captured until they reached the city of Alvadas. There, Naveena was able to dazzle the City of Illusions with her exquisite talent enough to book passage across the Suvan Sea for two with a merchant vessel headed for the city of Syliras.
After weeks of sailing, Naveena and Bo finally reached the city of Syliras. It was their hope that they would start a new life, a life they could control. They booked rooms at a inn, preparing to find jobs and permanent dwelling when the morning sun broke. However, by the time dawn arrived, Bo had taken her portion of the money earned in Alvadas and vanished. Naveena, having believed Bo was like a sister, was heartbroken at the Kelvic's betrayal. Since then, Naveena has resided in Syliras.

Heirloom: Naveena is in possession of a swath of Ranekissra silk created for the performance of Symenestran aerial dancing. The silk band was crafted by Naveena's Symenestran mother, Surianne, for her first dance in front of the web. While it is not perfect in make, it is a beautifully crafted silk of a deep purple hue with glints of starlight sewn in.
Naveena was wearing this swath wrapped around her body in the Symenestran fashion when she encountered the fight between Bo and Thakatos. Besides her dancing, it is the only thing from her native culture that she treasures. Naveena uses the silk for her rare performances of aerial dance or as a costume to hide her Symenestran features in less-than-friendly establishments.

House: Naveena own a humble apartment amongst the hundreds of others living with the Stormhold Castle of Syliras. It is simple and clean with the dimensions shown below. However, her mother's dancing silks are draped across the ceiling's beams in a fashion that reminds her of Kalinor.
