Dogs of a Feather (Nex, Aello)

" I'd like to see you try those berries I had over there, and tell me the same " he grumbled playfully as he made a sweeping gesture with his arm towards the bush where he had pilfered the berries from. " I see however that I cannot win, with the crafty birds on your side who could? he added with a chuckle. The birds would probably know more about what to eat then him anyways. Maybe one day they would teach him what plants to eat in the wild. He usually didn't go for plants preferring to hunt for his meals, but with his hand in its present state he might not be able to be as successful at hunting as he usually was.

His feet crunched the ground as he walked towards Aello, the sunlight streaming from above glinting off his black hair, and his golden eyes seemed to glow for a brief moment as he met Aello's eyes. " A rabbit actually sounds like a very good idea " he said with a smile, his eyes twinkling as he thought about hunting. Nex cocked his head to the side at the side as he thought about rabbit stew and he smirked. " I'm not that much of a cook I fear, so I leave that up to you but I can handle my own on the hunt " he added with a smile, and stretched out his arms and legs loosening up the muscles in his legs, arms, and back.

Looking at his bandaged up hand, he concentrated on moving his fingers, and suddenly his hand clenched tight. Pain shot up through his arm, and he had to fight to keep his face free of pain. A spot of blood slowly revealed itself in the center of his hand, and gradually spread out as he watched it. Not wanting to show Aello his weakness, he dropped his hand to the side, and assumed a unassuming look as he looked up at her. " See it’s almost good as new " he said with a slight smile, his eyes softening as he looked at her.

A slight tremor ran up his arm, and as slightly as possible he focused on controlling the pain, and straitening the bones in his hand again as best he could. The pain was immense, and increased tenfold when he felt a slight snap in his hand and he nearly swooned because of the wave of pain that washed over him. Even trying as hard as he could, he couldn't keep a cringe of pain from warping his features for a brief moment. Nex was pretty sure he had somewhat undone the good the bandaging had done for him. Oh well, I can suck it up for this little hunt, it's not going to kill me to ignore it for a little while

He kept his eyes on her as he watched her, and felt a bead of sweat run down from his temple and down the side of his face. " I can still manage to catch a rabbit or two, but I’m afraid I'd have a hard time just sticking to my fist, even if both of my hands were in perfect condition " he said holding up both his hands out plaintively. He smiled as the humorous image of him punching a deer to death popped into his mind, and he chuckled softly. The back of his neck still prickled however despite his levity at the looming information he needed to tell her. He wasn't sure on how he could breach the subject of him being a kelvic or even what her reaction would be. Still if he didn't tell her he would be little use to her in the hunt and only serve to drag her down, and that he could not accept. That left him with only one choice, he had to tell her. She had to find out sometime he thought resigned.

" My method on a hunt is using the weapons I was naturally born with, you see because I am a kelvic " he said calmly. Hopefully she wouldn't take it to bad and more ever that she wouldn’t try to run him off or capture him, but he didn't see her as the slaver type. No she was much too skilled, and good for that kind of work.

Assuming she didn't react to badly at it, he would stride over to a pair of bushes, and unwrap his quickly blooding bandages, before stripping off the rest of his cloths, breathing in deeply and sparing a glance at Aello before transforming into his natural form, and then she would see a rather large black wolf padding over slowly towards her with its head low, his glowing golden eyes shining as he looked up at her.

Dogs of a Feather (Nex, Aello)

Postby Aello on May 22nd, 2011, 4:59 pm

Aello smiled, "almost," she said simply, as she kept on walking in silence, lifting her feet up high as she crept forward, before placing them down carefully on empty patches of earth. Places devoid of sticks that could snap beneath her weight, and alert animals to her presence. Places devoid of fallen leaves that would crunch beneath her feet, or small flowering plants that would signify someone having come this way, should they be flattened beneath her boot. She managed to avoid most things, although she did scatter the remnants of a crunchy brown leaf at one point. At least it is quieter than snapping a stick in two, she thought, as she waited for Alenias to return. She truly hated when they were not together, for she knew she could not keep the girl safe when they were not close. Aello also hated how she had no idea as to where the Kelvic had gone, or what she was trying to communicate while she was in her animal form. But perhaps some day you will, when you have spent enough time with her. Perhaps she could even teach you how to commune with the birds, as opposed to simply understanding them. Aello's smile widened at the thought. It would be nice to know what the birds were singing about.

Aello glanced up at the sky for a moment, keeping her eye out for Alenias. She knew the girl would return to her soon, considering that was what she always did, being somewhat clingy and innocent and all, but still, Aello could not wait. She liked to know Alenias was in a place where she could be kept safe. Aello bit her bottom lip nervously as she tried to keep her mind off the blue jay. Alenias will be fine. After all, she is surrounded by other birds, and in her element. Her eyes passed back and forth over the forest floor, looking for a sign of life. She allowed Nex's words to wash over her, until she heard the word "Kelvic," at which point, she stopped dead in her tracks. If he had been walking behind her, he would more than likely bump into her.

Aello's muscles tensed, and seemed to ripple. Her skin seemed to jump as her muscles flowed in every which direction, wondering where they should go, and how they should act. She remained silent for a moment, as her eyes grew a little wider. Another one? Aello thought to herself as she turned to him. But what could he possibly be? And will he prove to be more dangerous than Alenias? Far less willing to be taken care of? More difficult to keep under control? A single bead of sweat appeared on Aello's brow as her heart began to beat a little faster. She turned to Nex, and stared into his golden colored eyes. Maybe we should call Alenias, the girl thought, as she whispered, "what did you just say?" somewhat breathlessly. She waited for a moment, waited for him to verify the word "Kelvic." Her eyes looking at him in such a way, that they seemed to be begging Nex to say anything but that. That it was just a joke, a figment of her imagination.

It wasn't so much that Aello didn't like Kevlics; for she had nothing against them. It was simply that she didn't know what the man could be, and if she should be afraid of him. After all, there was a chance that he could be far more dangerous than Alenias, but then again, she had injured his hand pretty badly, which would give her some sort of advantage over him, right?

The girl remained silent a little longer, before adding, "it is not every day that one meets a Kelvic. Especially in a city such as this," Aello said, quietly. "Or rather, that one meets a Kelvic, who admits to their being a Kelvic." There was a slight pause as Aello considered her words. "So Nex, if you're not human, then what sort of creature are you?" she asked, inching her bow a little higher, so it was still pointed at the ground, but more towards his feet, as opposed to her own. Her fingers seemed to inch around the bowstring, pulling it a little tighter, wondering if she would need it. Preparing for another fight; even though mentally, she was so very unprepared for one, should it come to that. But you could beat him, if you had to. Surely Alenias would help you. Or try...

Alenias likes you, she cares for you a lot. And somewhere, not so deep down inside, you care for her deeply as well...

OOCSo, I didn't think Aello would react like this, but um... as I typed it, it seemed right. So... yeah... have fun.

Dogs of a Feather (Nex, Aello)

Postby Alenias on May 23rd, 2011, 6:00 pm

Flying off through the trees in search of a rabbit Alenias could hear Aello and Nex talking faintly, but it was just sounds to her. Sounds that didn't belong in the wilderness. Flapping her wings as needed she meandered back and forth through the trees, her dark eyes watching the forest floor for any sign of rabbits. She hoped that was where rabbits were normally. Did they climb trees? She started glancing at the trees as well, which slowed her down a bit, but she wanted to make sure she helped Aello this time with her hunt.

Finally she spotted a rabbit nibbling on a plant below her. Its fur looked nice and soft, and was colored white with brown splotches. Overjoyed at finding one she gave a few happy chirps and did a tight turn in the air, fluttering back in the direction of Aello as fast as she could.

When she finally did make it back to Aello and Nex Alenias' little heart picked up in pace. She wasn't sure what was going on, but she was sure that Aello was not happy with Nex. She could see tension in the woman's body as she looked at the man. He must have tried to hurt Aello again!

Giving a shrill cry Alenias fluttered down in Nex's direction, and when she got close enough she transformed in a swirl of light, landing heavily on the ground about a foot from Nex. Naked and obviously angry she glared up at him with her hands balled up into fists, ready to punch, "What'd you do to Aello you meanie!?"

Dogs of a Feather (Nex, Aello)

Postby Nex Paciscor on May 24th, 2011, 3:07 pm

He continued his slow walk after her, trepidation thick in the air in those few moments it took his words to register. The heel of his sandal came down to a soft crunch on a pile of leaves, but he wasn't worried about making noise, what was important to him was her reaction to the news. Words so carefully selected, could blow up in his face he knew, and his calm companion on this trek through these woods could quickly grow violent towards him depending on how she felt towards Kelvics. The woods seemed to get deathly quiet in these few moments, and he could hear clearly his every grinding step against the soft loam of the soil, a crack echoing from under his foot on those off chances he stepped on a twig.

As his words registered with her, he could feel the ripples spread out from her, and suddenly his trepidation was placed with tension, and the muscles in his neck bunched up as he stopped walking a few feet behind where she stopped. The wind howled between them as if marking the moment, and he did not know what to make of the sign. He clenched reflexively both of the fists at his side, and continued to clench them even as the left one started to become wet with blood again. The pain would keep him focused, the pain would keep him safe, and beyond all doubt the pain would remind him that he would not lift a finger towards her even should she take up that wicked bow against him. No, if it came to that he would run, something he wasn't accustomed to doing but felt it was necessary. It be too much of a waste to fight her if she or he had the others blood on their hands. Bloodshed was not the way to go, and maybe he hoped, there was a way to still talk this out.

He watched her turn around carefully, and to him her movements seemed rigged but that all may have been a affect of sensing the sort of situation they were in. Nex's eyes briefly flashed as they met hers, and they seemed to reflect a sort of resigned feeling, as if he had been through this before. Only barely did he notice the pain streaming from his left hand, and by now the blood was on its way to a steady drip, coming out through the bandages in pulses like water came through a piece of cloth when someone squeezed it. His mind however was so beyond the pain though, and he felt as if he was watching their conversation from a higher vantage point. He could see himself, his arms at his sides defensively, and the slowly offensive or defensive movements, he couldn't tell, that Aello was making. " I am a kelvic " he repeated quietly.

The words from her lips came out gently, but his keen ears picked them up all the same, and he took a brief moment to absorb them. He couldn't find any malice in them, but he wasn't sure what he did detect in them. Hatred? Fear? Nex couldn't differentiate between the two, they both smelled the same to him. " I am a wolf " he said calmly as he continued to look at her. Something he was sure wasn't the thing she most wanted to hear but he felt she deserved the truth.

A piercing cry from on high startled him, and he looked up to see a blue jay swooping down at him, but he paid it no mind figuring it to just be lost. Even more surprising to him though was when that blue jay turned into a young girl landing right in front of him. Instantly his hands unclenched and he held them out wide before him in a gesture of peace. Another kelvic hanging around these woods? Too good to be a coincidence he thought as he watched the young girl carefully. She must be linked to Aello somehow, which would make her Alenias he thought and silently he hoped that his guess was correct.

" You must be Alenias " he responded to her outcry rather softly. " Well Alenias I'd like for you to know that I would rather die than hurt either of you with malicious intent " Nex spoke as his eyes locked on Alenias's eyes and he breathed slowly, a little bit at peace with whatever happened next. It would all come full circle soon enough. " I merely told her I was a kelvic wolf " he added softly just in case it was the girls next question or Aello didn't hear him right moments before.

Dogs of a Feather (Nex, Aello)

Postby Aello on May 24th, 2011, 5:12 pm

Aello's head turned so that it faced Alenias. She chose to show him precisely what she was? Aello wondered, as she took a step closer to Alenias, as though trying to communicate that it was not yet time to jump at Nex. That is was best she remained silent, and waited. That for now, the two of them were safe. Aello's muscles were still tense as she turned back to Nex. She was silent for a long time, as her eyes merely passed over him. For someone who supposedly means us no harm he is rather tense too, Aello thought, as she watched his muscles move, the sweat that seemed to glow upon his brow, courtesy of the sunlight that trickled down through the trees.

Within a few seconds, a soft blue mist came into view. It swirled around Nex as though he were what brought it to life, as though he were the only thing it existed for. The mist seemed to wind itself around the man's neck, and pour out of his mouth as he spoke. But even when his mouth was shut, it trickled out of the corners of his lips, as though he had just taken a long drag from a pipe, and was fighting the urge to spit all the smoke out. It was a beautiful mist, Nex's aura, a reflection of a clear blue sky during the day. Devoid of clouds, devoid of the sun; simply sky. Everything he says is true. He is a wolf who can turn into a human. He also means no harm. Perhaps he will run if Alenias cannot believe or accept that, and we are forced to attack him. There was another slight pause, which seems somewhat likely considering her past experience with you in this forest. With that wolf. Aello glanced over at Alenias for a second, before casting her gaze on Nex's eyes. How tightly coiled her muscles are. How angry and ready to spring she seems. She will defend you to the death Aello, if she feels the need. She will follow you, do not allow her to waste her life. A creature such as her could never defeat a wolf.

Aello watched Nex's aura swirl around him for several moments, before Alenias' so much as began to come into view. Hers was a fiery orb of red. Muddied and deep reds; several tones that simply reinforced what Aello already knew. She is angry, and desperate to keep alive. She considers him a threat to each of you, although he is not one, as of now. The mist seemed to grow up, out of her feet, and swirl wildly around her. Like a bonfire whose smoke and whose flame could some day touch the sky. It was thickest at its core, the girl's feet, although the colors were far more vibrant as they stretched upwards, and towards the top of her head. Although Aello was more than likely the only one that could see it if she turned to face her bondmate, she could see the fiery aura reflected in the girl's eyes. Tiny flames comprised of mist sprouting out of her fits, as though she had lit them on fire with reimancy. Or perhaps, simply sheer anger. We have to get her to calm down. Fire will simply destroy everything. We must teach her how to contain her anger, her fear, her urge to defend us until the opportune moment.

Aello glanced back and forth between the two Kelvics, as Alenias' aura burned, and Nex's showed his truth; his relative calm. Opposites of each other. Of their animals, it seems, Aello thought, as she considered how best to diffuse the situation. She was silent for a few more moments, before she spoke, "Nex, if what you say is true, than turn into a wolf and prove yourself, to each of us." There was a slight pause, "you can hide behind a tree or something at first, if your clothes will get in your way." As she spoke, the edges of her cheeks grew red. She knew it was only natural that a Kelvic strip before they shift, should their clothes get in the way and potentially harm them, but it still made them uncomfortable. Why did you ask if you already know the nature of what he is? What he is capable of? "It is for Alenias," Aello mouthed, without truly realizing what she was doing.

Red was edging into Aello's eyes, winding itself around her dark brown irises. Her beady black pupils. Her heart was beginning to beat even faster, and several beads of sweat were swimming down her face, towards her chin. "He will not hurt us Alenias," Aello whispered, hoping that Nex could not hear. "Put your fists down, there is no need for them." There was a slight pause. "If we can befriend him, he will prove to be a valuable alley Alenias. He has already earned my respect. Perhaps it is time we find a way for him to earn yours, assuming of course, that you wish for him to come along as well. Assuming, that is what he wants."

Then, simply for the sake of not seeming omniscient, Aello raised her voice so they could both hear her, "and should you fail Nex, to do as you have been asked, you will be branded a liar, and each of us shall chase you from the forest." There was a slight pause, "we don't wish to have people of that sort around us, is that understood?"

OOCOk... another lousy post. If you don't like something about it, (say the aura stuff), tell me and I can edit.

Dogs of a Feather (Nex, Aello)

Postby Alenias on May 24th, 2011, 6:17 pm

A bit of the anger on Alenias' face fell when Nex said he was a Kelvic Wolf, and it was replaced with a bit of confusion. Nex was a Kelvic like her? She'd only met one other Kelvic before, Tenebrae, and he'd been a wolf too. Tenebrae had been nice, if a little scary looking, but Nex had hurt Aello.

Alenias' confusion continued as Aello talked to Nex, telling him to change so they could see, but as soon as Aello's whispered words reached the little Kelvic the anger and confusion vanished liked she'd been dunked in water. Alenias' head and hands dropped, and her shoulder's slumped as she felt like she'd been doing something bad. Aello hadn't told her not to get angry at Nex, but the woman didn't seem happy that Alenias had.

Feeling terrible about making Aello not happy Alenias turned and slowly walked back to the woman, head and shoulders still down, and when she got next to her she softly mumbled, "Sorry Aello..."

She hoped Aello would forgive her. She couldn't stand the thought of having Aello unhappy with something she'd done. Just worrying about it was bringing tears to her eyes.

Dogs of a Feather (Nex, Aello)

Postby Nex Paciscor on May 24th, 2011, 10:01 pm

The young girl in front of him impressed him. A blue jay only moments before, and already standing up defiantly to a stranger, despite the odds. Such bravery he respected, and he knew beyond a doubt that this one only meant well. In her eyes he saw only fierce determination, and passion, something that could not be underestimated and he mused light heartedly that she could prove quite fearsome to those she names her enemies. A intimidating blue jay, stranger things have occurred. It was a amusing thought for another time, but now was the time to try and solve the situation at hand, and from the tension in the girls lithe shoulders, he could see that the situation vastly needed soothing.

He breathed a bit easier when she eased off on her anger at the announcement that he was a kelvic, but he realized that the tension wasn't fully diffused yet. Aello's words telling him to prove himself rang in his head, and he nodded slowly in agreement. He took a big intake of breath, and could sense the overall progress of the situation and with his keen ears he could have picked up Aello's whispered words but figuring he owed her a bit of privacy, he tuned them out, concentrating instead on pulling his tunic over his head, and tossing the dark blue garment on the ground. His muscles rippled as he gradually untensed and softened his visage, and he looked once more towards the pair before unfastening his breeches.

Nex stopped though as he loosened the first knot, and a expression that looked like as if he just remembered something came to his face, and he turned walking off over behind one of the berry bushes they had been near only a little while ago. He had forgotten for a moment his present company, and the fact that people didn't really like it when you got naked in front of them. Nex didn't much mind getting nude, a natural process but growing up in Lhavit had taught him a lot about how to behave around other people. The bush only came up to waist height on him, and he was still in easy view of Aello, and Alenias, but he figured the cover would be appropriate, and as long as neither of them edge to the side, they would see nothing either.

His sackcloth breeches dropped to his ankles as he unfastened the last knot and let go, kicking off the shorts along with his sandals in the same motion. It was hard untying a knot with one hand but he figured he had done rather well for himself. Now with all of his clothes off there was only one thing left to do, take off the bandage around his hand. Transforming could possibly cause him to lose his hand seeing as how tight the bandages where, and that was something he wanted to avoid, despite the chance for infection. The nimble fingers on his right hand easily found the starting strip of the bandage within the folds of cloth, and he pulled on it, the strip of cloth unraveling as he dragged his right hand apart from his left. The once white cloth was now red, soaked in the blood of his reopened wound and his hand wasn’t a very pretty site either, bloodied as it was, and covered in lacerations from his exertions the previous day, and today. He couldn't move his fingers without feeling a moderate amount of pain, but he shrugged it off, figuring he could limp over to Aello and Alenias since that was the case.

Instantly he turned into a wolf, his black fur seemingly mixing in with the shadows around the bush making his outline harder to determine where the shadows stopped and he started. Out of the black mass that was his head could be seen a pair of golden eyes, filled with a softness, instead of the usual fierceness they usually held, and slowly he walked over to the girls, holding his left paw up towards him and limping his way along. As soon as he was in a few feet of them, he stopped and sat down on his haunches looking up at Alenias and then Aello in turn, his piercing eyes taking their time settling on the pair. His paw dripped slightly with blood, the telling trail easily seen behind him and he held it before him, while keeping his other feet planted solidly on the ground. Wonder what they could be thinking he thought, and sat there silently as if awaiting their judgment.

Dogs of a Feather (Nex, Aello)

Postby Aello on May 25th, 2011, 12:56 am

When Nex approached, Aello's muscles began to loosen up a bit. His coat is just as dark as his hair, and his eyes never lose that other-worldly quality, even in his animal form, do they? Aello thought as she tilted her head slightly to the side, doing her best to ignore the two auras that swirled around her. "You see Alenias, he is just like you," Aello whispered, as Nex sat before each of them. "An animal with the ability to become slightly more... human," Aello went on, choosing her words carefully, considering the fact that the animals out-numbered her, three to one.

A second later, Aello had moved her fingers around the nocked arrow, and plucked it off the bowstring. She returned it to her quiver in one swift movement, and slid her pack off her shoulders. She eased it onto the forest floor, where it landed with a muffled thud. Her eyes remained on Nex, he seemed so calm considering that she and her bondmate were passing judgment on him. They could strike him down so easily if they wanted to... "Take your cloak out of the bag Alenias, and cover yourself up if you can. You will get cold like this, don't you think?" she asked, never taking her eyes off the wolf. A second later, she had dropped her bow, it rested up against her pack.

Aello would wait for Alenias to move, or to simply stay put for another minute before she would kneel by the side of her bag. She'd open the top flap, and dig through everything until she reached her waterskin, at which point she'd walk over to Nex with a small smile upon her face. "Do not move," Aello would tell him. "We'll need to clean that paw out as best we can, should you wish not to leave a trail of blood across the forest floor, inviting who knows what to come and follow us." Or warning who knows what that we are here; hunting for a fresh bite to eat. When she reached him, she'd kneel at his side, and her smile would widen, as she closed her eyes, and allowed the auras to fade away before she opened them again. When they had gone, Aello would reach for Nex's injured paw. She would hold the center of his leg, so as not to hurt him as much, and cause him to bleed even more. "This will sting," she would say, as she opened the top of her waterskin with her teeth, and then poured the water on his paw, to clear the blood away.

"Hold it up if you can, so you don't get it all muddy," Aello would continue, as she straightened herself up and walked over to the bush Nex had shifted behind. She would drop her waterskin, and pull the cursed blade out of concealment. She'd hold it tightly in her right hand, before grabbing one of the vines the bush was comprised of. She'd hold the vine tightly in her left hand, and pull it as far out as it would go, so that there was no slack. Then, she'd bring her dagger up behind the vine, and cut upwards, severing the bush's tendril. When she had set it free, she'd put her dagger away, and walk back to Nex with her prize. She'd kneel next to him once more, and pull all the leaves away from the vine, before asking for his paw. Then, as gingerly as she could, she would wrap the vine around his injured paw, and then tie it in place with a knot. "That should hold it until we can get you to a real doctor," Aello would say with a small smile, as she got back up to retrieve all her things and put them away before picking up her bow in her left hand, and stringing her pack back over her shoulders.

"Now, perhaps, we can go for that hunt," Aello would say, as she strung a fresh raven-feather fletched arrow onto her bow. "Considering berries aren't a very filling meal for a growing human, and not one fit for a wolf." She'd smile, thinking it funny how each of her friends was an animal, and one would eat no meat, while the other would eat nothing vegetarian.

Should Nex fail to offer up his paw, Aello would back away from him, and tell him to rest while she and Alenias went on a hunt.

OOCSorry this is worded so weird, since I can't just treat Nex's paw.

Dogs of a Feather (Nex, Aello)

Postby Alenias on May 25th, 2011, 4:40 pm

Alenias' moist eyes lifted up as Nex started to undress, watching with curiosity as he took off his clothes. It seemed a little strange to wear so much clothes if he was really a Kelvic. It was much more difficult than what Alenias wore, but maybe the person who took care of Nex wanted him to wear more clothes?

All of her doubts were quickly wiped away when Nex transformed into his dark wolf form, and Alenias stared at him silently with wide, wondering eyes until Aello spoke to her. Giving a small nod to Aello's comment she gave a little smile to Nex as he approached. If he was a Kelvic than he had to be nice too, and that meant there was no need to worry anymore.

"Yes Aello," Alenias said obediantly as Aello told her to put her cloak on, and the little Kelvic dug through the pack and pulled out the dirty and ragged cloak quickly. Swinging it around she wrapped it around her shoulders and fastened it into place. She was glad Aello didn't seem mad at her anymore for being angry at Nex.

Crouching on the ground, her cloak wrapped around her, Alenias watched quietly as Aello offered to use a vine to bandage Nex's paw. Once the woman moved off to start the hunt again Alenias hopped up and bounced over to her, "Aello, I found a rabbit for you! It was..." she turned around a little, getting her bearings, "That way!" she pointed and smiled happily, glad she could help this time.

Dogs of a Feather (Nex, Aello)

Postby Nex Paciscor on May 26th, 2011, 12:01 am

Nex watched Aello placidly as she fixed up his paw, offering it to her freely, and holding it the air when she asked. She was not too bad at treating wounds and he was more than happy enough to let her treat him, though he was not accustomed to it. Relief was flowing out of him at the moment, and he relaxed knowing that they considered him safe enough for now, and with that in mind he could withstand anything. His paw only aching slightly while she went to go retrieve the vine, blood only slightly dripping from it onto the dark moist ground beneath it, and he occasionally looked back to see her progress. He offered what accounted for a wolfs smile to Aello, but it just came out looking like he was barring his teeth so he settled for lolling his tongue from his mouth and panting figuring she could more identify that with happiness.

Soon she had his paw tied up tightly, and he looked at the wrapping curiously before putting his right paw down in front of him, and then slowly testing out the left. It still hurt too much to put pressure on, but maybe he could still go silently if he kept a slower pace. Slowly he walked after her, hobbling as he did so his shoulder dipping with each stride as he tried to keep up with her. Soon his strides brought him past her and he would turn and look at the nodding his head briefly, and should Aello let him, he would take a parallel path in front of them flanking the potential prey that Alenias spotted.

On her word he would go loping off into the woods as silent as he could, but he felt clumsy with his injured paw, and shrugged through the pain with sheer stubbornness. Eventually when he had gotten far enough away from Aello, and Alenias he would drop down onto his belly, and begin a quiet crawl over the ground, mainly pulling himself along the ground with his right paw, and using his back legs to hold him slightly above the ground to lessen the noise he was making. He would still keep within view of Aello, or at least to his keen eyesight, and he could still see fragments of her through the dense leaves. On a signal from her such as either of the two girls going for the kill, he would also start sneaking towards their prey to try and cut off any escape.

If Aello did not want him to move to the side to flank their prey, then he would move where she wanted to, or stick right behind her, following silently as he could manage. Still in the quietness of the wood he felt like every step he made was alerting any prey within miles of them to their presence. He would keep himself quiet however, and when he saw Aello moving one way and Alenias signal that they were near their prey he would drop down on his belly and cautiously approach the rabbit, ready to sprint after it in the case that it ran before Aello could catch it.

oocSorry this is a little bit weirdly worded and all but there wasn't much for Nex to do when you where fixing him up, and decided to go through with what Nex would attempt during the hunt. Fill free to tell me if you want me to correct or change anything
