Anselm did not see Montaine at his glassworks stand the next morning but he noticed him there in the early afternoon. He thought to himself,Old man, the smart thing is to leave well enough alone. Then he heaved himself out of his chair, took his cane and hobbled over to the stand and placed himself directly in front of Montaine where he stood silent and still for several moments before he spoke in his usual gravelly growl.
"If you try, you may succeed or you may fail. No one can predict which it will be. But if you do not try at all, you will surely fail.”
He turned and limped backed to his tent where he sat down, folded his hands in front of himself, and waited for his next customer, giving the glassmaker no further thought for now.

A pleasant thread. I'm glad Montaine got his horse back. It would be fun to see them thrown into a situation where they are forced to work together. Let's see what we can come up with in the Summer season. I will submit the story and we'll see what the moderators make of it.
He saw the nuit approaching from his shady tent across the way and immediately his whole body tensed up. His stomach was doing somersaults and his heart was beating so very fast. He just wanted to forget the whole shyking mess and get on with his life. He wanted to make glass, and move past this whole ordeal. He had spent last night in the throes of bad dreams again and despite the return of the glass horse he felt no less disturbed. He had been thankful that it was not his day to man the stall, he could not have bore sitting for gods knew how long across from that black splotch of darkness on the market road. But then, then he had received the call to arms. Banden’s sister had been taking ill, though with what he wasn’t specific, and Monty was the only one available to take up his shift that afternoon.
Petch.
And so he found himself standing, out of his chair, as the old fortune teller approached, nervously anticipating what was coming.
It was not what he had expected.
Was it…encouragement?
Perhaps this wasn’t entirely a lost cause after all. He wouldn’t push it though. He had time.
The fortune teller shuffled back to his tent. Montaine smiled.

Really entertaining thread. You two are talented when it comes to playing off other characters, and this is especially evident for two PCs who are as different as Anselm and Montaine. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to PM me!
