Fade shook her head letting her free from its straggly bun, little droplets fell from her hair. She let it fall freely on her shoulder and around her face.
“He was old and he fell ill, when he died the circus fell to pieces with him, I slipped away” She wasn’t bothered by his question, it was only normal for him to wander. She had run away from her fears, the hole that his death had affected her a lot. First her absent mother, her friends departure, then her fathers and finally her owners death. She was completely alone, she sighed at the thought and a single tear fell from her eye leaving a salty trail across her cheek though she was still smiling: she had to still get used to her current predicament.
Her eyes scanned the crowd passing by them, she was delighted when she saw a dog, unabashed by its fierce look she crouched in front of it and put her hand in front of its muzzle, it sniffed her hand and Faded laughed as she started to scratch it behind its ears.
“So, you’re a follower of Zulrav, why, may I ask…” She already had an idea but she wanted him to tell her, just to be sure and...civil.

He looked at her and saw the tear in her eye but never gave her even the slightest hint that he did notice it, she was smiling, why not just leave it at that. He smiled as she started petting the dog and so he crouched down next to her, maybe it was not much, but he did enjoy these really normal and unexciting moments. He looked at her still not getting what is it that she is trying to do to the dog, but he guessed asking will probbably be futile anyway. He trembles slowly as he felt a bit of cold wind climb up his spine, he was standing still again in no time as he spoke slowly: "Well....you could say i had a major family mishappen and now they are all dead, and Zurlav was the one, the only one among the ancient ones to actually strike down vengance on the people who did wrong by my family. I do not really know how to explain everything, but i owe both my past as well as my sanity to the divine stormbringer" his lips tightened up a bit as he finished his sentance and looked at the sky like he was awaiting some sort of response. And indeed he was, he ws waiting for that one single sign of acceptance, it did not have to be a gnosis, as long as he knew the god knows his loyalty. He grinned looking back at her as he whispered: "So, im not really sure what more to say, im not all that good at the whole conversation stuff, and you are making me kinda nervous" he bit his quick tongue as he realised what he just said, but as it was too late, he just stood there awaiting for some sort of reaction from her.

“I serve Nikali, every breath of air I inhale I give to her service and will” She thought of her goddess, and smiled a little secret smile.
“Im sorry to hear about your family, at least your desire for revenge is sated... I also have nobody left in this world”
His last comment caught her attention “I make you nervous?” She raised an eyebrow quizzically and chuckled”I havent even given you a reason to be nervous...”
She stood on her tiptoes leaning against him and whispered in his ears lips almost touching them, breath hot on his neck. Then she said in her silkiest voice using the extent of her seductive powers “Should I?”
She was a spider who knew exactly where and how to spin her web, but it was a short lived metaphor because when an insect was caught it would leave with their desires sated, not the other way. But it was her duty...
Why should she make him nervous? It was a very strange thing to say...

Elliot litsened to her speak praying he did not hear his last remark, but alas it was too late for hopes when she began to question it, and after that provoke him.
He was no longer sure what should he do, but eventually as that effect started to wear off he spoke slowly as if nothing had ever happened: "Nikali...hm...i never met a follower of that one before. And it`s not true you don˙t have anyone, you always have someone to pray to, and someone, well not always, but from time to time there is always someone to pend on, or someone that pends on you. But im rambling again, so where are you from?" yea Elliot knew it was a dumb question, but he needed something to get himself and this conversation back in check. He started looking around just to be sure where they are as he was starting the sense of time and space slowly, company was a rather strange thing, enjoyable....but strange. He found that they are walking slowly to the nearby end of the street that was still half deserted even though the rain stopped crashing down upon the land a long time ago. Somehow it looked as if it all ends at that road, so without even noticing much, he started to walk a bit slower, for he did not want it to end, you could call it fear, and it was fear.....but a fear of what exactly?
As those last couple of steps were getting near them, and getting near them fast, he was not sure what was going to happen, but it will be nightfall soon, so that would bring them apart anyway. He just stood there and used the simple excuse of looking around curiously as he awaited for her to say something.

“I don’t remember where I was born and nobody bothered to inform me…what about you?”
Fade bumped into a woman hand brushing against her hand, her vision blurred as she staggered again hand groping for something to pull herself up. The woman’s desires ran through her and Fade fought the compulsion that forced her to help the stranger. She pulled on a passing mans shoulder to steady herself hand touching his neck. She gasped head reeling with desires and compulsions. The man had so much hate in his heart it brought tears to her eyes. Fade pushed her way to the wall and leant there, leaning head in hands. As he had said people fear what they don’t know. Fade shivered saying nothing waiting for him to say something, he obviously didn’t know about Nikali’s blessing.

"A small village not too far away from here, to the north to be exact, i can`t remember it`s name any longer, and i am not even sure if it still exists, i am sure it has forgotten me a long time ago, so i guess i`m just returning the favour" he stopped as much as a second to look back at her. She was a wreck, she looked disoriented, weak, and he even thought that he saw a tear in her eye. Not wasting time, he quickly approached her and put both of his hands on her shoulders whispering in a concerned tone: "Are you....are you feeling well? You seem kinda like you are falling apart, so tell me what happened, i am sure it can`t be so bad" his mout widened into a smile as he let those few words leave into the outside world. A sudden feeling of concern mixed with guilt took over him as he struggled not to shed a tear or two himself, but something kept telling him, that she could use a supporting coloumn of sorts, and how could he fill that role if he was not calm and considerate and.....so many things crossed his mind that very moment, but he just stopped thinking as he hugged her clumsy still not sure what her reaction would be. His gaze wandered off into the surrounding landscape as he was not sure if she wants him to see her like that.

She was surprised at his hug and of his reaction: he was genuinely concerned. He was right she was falling apart but as she fought the compulsions she grew calmer and calmer.
She was repeating to herself, fool, fool, fool over and over again.
She knew this could happen why hadn’t she worn the gloves?
“I’m better now thanks. You ask me what ails me, well…” Her voice wavered “I have been blessed by my goddess” She drew back and pulled her neckline lower, and there above her breast there was her mark “From a touch I can understand your deepest even most brutal desires and I’m compelled to fulfil them” She told him not knowing why she did it. It was good to talk about it just this once. “The man who just passed, he…he had the worst desires, they caught me unprepared, and I was ready to help him” Travelling alone and not being in contact with so many people it had never happened to her even though she had thought about it. With her master it had been different, she lived to serve and when he touched her she knew exactly what she had to do for him.
It had struck her as strange that she had recived the mark just a year before her masters death, was there a deeper reason for it?
She could only serve one, but now she had no master, it was a paradox.

He looked at her slowly not saying a word and crouched next to her as he gazed into her eyes just to be sure is she feeling any better. Elliot knew from expirience that people tend to hide their face or look for a support by grabbing onto something while lying. Leaning his back to the wall behind her he sat next to her still not sure what he should do or say. His mind than got a rather strange idea as he grabbed her hand into both of his as gently as he could while thinking about a way to make her better and wanting it as much as he could. "So tell me, what do i want? And after that tell me what do you want, for i have not been blessed by the gift you bare" his eyes widened a bit as he awaited for her to react, still not sure if all this was a good idea. His mind suddenly stopped as the essence of time seemed to stop spinning itself, and so he waited for her to give him even the slightest hint of what was the effect of the things he just did and said.

The market [OPEN]

Postby Wystern on May 25th, 2010, 3:35 am

Tonight Wys was on patrol duty. Wystern was people gazing when he saw the contortionist do her performance. Then something pulled him over, maybe it's her looks, maybe the way she acted. Crow loved crowd gazing, especially when there was something to look at, like tonight.

He did not know what made him follow her. Something made him feel uneasy, maybe that was the reason he was eavesdropping. Not until he heard those magic words: “I have been blessed by my goddess”, and “From a touch I can understand your deepest even most brutal desires and I’m compelled to fulfil them.”

"Interesting," Wystern muttered to himself. That could be trouble, from what he heard, many Gnosis marks were in the wrong hands. He didn't hear of many, just what his master told him. Depending on the minds that used those marks, it could either mean devastation or salvation. Which was this one?

Crow let the conversation proceed. His knowledge of criminal underworld took over his thoughts, information is power. The acrobat was talking about herself, and he wanted to know because he was sure his higher-ups would love to know that bit of information. No, she was no criminal. From he was finding out, she was no criminal. She wasn't built like one, and too many manners. Looks can be deceiving, after all, Wys did not look like a Syliran Knight.

Crow was just about to get the attention of the Gnosis bearer, clarity is necessary, when he heard what he knew was exploitation simply waiting to happen: "So tell me, what do I want? And after that tell me what do you want, for I have not been blessed by the gift you bare." Intentionally or unintentionally, this action can spiral down the wrong end of the tunnel.

"Excuse me, miss. My name is Wystern of Syliran Knights. Pardon me for interfering, but I heard of your mark. I will just be blunt about this question, no risks of misunderstanding. Are you a threat? Syliras has some with an actual desire to kill. They won't because of us. How do I know you will not threaten the safety of any residents?"

Wystern was adamant on treating this situation like he was taught with treating the unknown: carefully and with clarity. He has never seen magic before, but he heard about it. Not much good came out of messing with it; regardless, he will put his life on the line to ensure peace.

Fade looked at Elliot eyes flaming ice blue. She grimaced “If only I knew what I want…”
Her blood was boiling though, she was angry no, almost indignant that he would ask such a thing of her... he was not her master, she was nobodies servant. She would not be used so lightly. Or maybe he hadn’t understood what it meant for her, but already these strong feelings had drowned the compulsions.
She didn’t know what to say or do but she made her decision as a knight inquired about her.
Her gift also gave her a unique appeal also tended to be trusted more easily than others.
She replied in a light voice “I can control myself, knight and moreover no one in this city is my master” she stressed the last ward and looked at Elliot” We all have a choice and you will have to trust mine.
You ask me how would you know if I were a threat, simply, you can’t”

She got up, smoothly balance perfect, slipping her hand form Elliot’s.
“But kindly tell me, sir, in a street full of people do I look like a criminal?”
It troubled her deeply, did she attract this negative attention?
