Darcy picked himself up from off of the ground now, his eyes firmly focused on Nai'a. He smiled at her, his eyes shining. "Thanks for making me want to believe in myself more. There is actually a talent competition going on soon and I was thinking of entering it, but I shall most definitely enter it now because thanks to you, you've given me that grit, focus and determination in which I needed," he remarked, his smile widening. "I was about to give up on my dreams and tried to hide them by trying to be a novice salesman but I think singing... y'know, it's something I ought to be doing more of. It brings me so much peace and helps me during the tough times." He stretched his arms out wide, his muscles flexing from the amount of time he'd spent sitting next to Nai'a.
He was so happy at the prospect of having someone whom he could talk to now, whom he could relate to. "I look forward to the many happy memories we shall share, remember Nai'a, if you ever need me - I'm here. You've given me so much through your kind and honest words, it's the least I could do for somebody like you," he exclaimed, sensing her happiness at the thought of them now being able to have that friendship. He noticed the brief, pained expression on her face and felt a slight trickle of guilt but shrugged this off the same way Nai'a had done. He sensed Nai'a had been through a lot, that she had gained her wisdom from her past. Either way, she was a beacon of light for Darcy, a shining star.
He could feel the cold air press against him now as he stood there and carefully hauled his bagpack back over his shoulder. "You have a monkey? Meka? How cute!" Darcy didn't have a pet but he so longed for one. He quickly reverted his thinking back on the subject of going home though. "Okay, I'll meet you. I actually have some kind of ball to go to with a few friends tomorrow evening, you're more than welcome to come too, but in fact, I'd be more than happy to spend it doing whatever you wanted to." He looked at Nai'a now with a wide expression on his face, in all honesty, he just wanted to see her again and spend more time with her.
