While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

A Tossed Hammer[I'tram]

I'tram looked around in the grass, and soon enough found were his hammer had gone to. Gingerly massaging his hand were it had been hit, Clyde took it back.

Then he looked a bit questioningly, as I'tram asked of his breathing technique.

"Breathing technique?" Clyde said, a bit bewildered as to what he meant...

It was only after a half a chime of thinking, that he recalled the trick he had learned through meditation... Which now that he thought about it, had helped control his breathing, and to calm him down...

"Ah, that? I would not call it a breathing technique per say. It is just something I have picked up through attempting to learn meditation. It has taken me seasons, but I am finally getting decent with it. It helps to calm you down, and to block out outside things. And controlling your breathing tends to be a good step to getting to such a state."

"I can't really explain it, there is not a trick, you must simply practice it, and you will get better. Really it is all about clearing your mind of everything, even thoughts, especially things going on outside of you that make you angry or fill you with emotions. It helps to center me when I am about to do magic, and to concentrate on the task at hand."

Clyde tucked away his hammer, and picked up the last of his stuff.

"Alright, so what say we go find a place to camp at for the night?"
Clydes Stuff

I am actually in RL a super intelligent hamster from Rhode Island, with a 7 year plan to take over the world.

Update 6/2/18- 1:10AM EST: His 7 year plan a success, and several weeks ahead of schedule, Clyde leaves to oversee the world he has taken over.

No new threads after end of Spring 518-Will still be checking for PM's occasionally, but focusing on a new character.

Graders note: :
Please be aware Clyde is a master Magecrafter. He therefore should not be gaining full xp(or possibly shouldn't gain any at all) for simple tasks related to this magic, such as low level MC items, particularly for repetitions of creations he has done before. Feel free to contact me if unsure of a instance of his magic use compared to his skill level.

A Tossed Hammer[I'tram]

Postby I'tram Bearguard on May 9th, 2013, 9:06 pm

It appeared this "meditation" as Clyde referred to it as required practice to master, this did not defer I'tram from the task of learning this skill of sorts, in fact it had the opposite effect, it gave the young slave a goal to strive for. While little things such as this might appear trivial to the free folk of Mizahar they were crucial in I'tram's life. As he couldn't make many of his own decisions, he relied on small goals such as this.

I'tram had been so thought up in how he could learn this technique that he had barely heard Clyde's question. The young slave couldn't help but let a small smile don his face, partly because of nervousness and partly because of excitement. "That sounds good master" After pausing for a moment I'tram spoke again, "My apologies master but I'm afraid I won't be much use to you during this trip, I don't really have any experience in the wild, I'll do my best though." The last sentence he added on after a brief pause, hopefully Clyde bothered by his incompetence in Wilderness survival or hunting.

To say I'tram hadn't performed well today would be an understatement, he had made error after error, whether it was his equipment breaking or nearly losing his temper. Even in the actual combat he had made mistakes that no trained fighter should have made. The young slave vowed he would improve in the future, and prove himself to Clyde.
