A question about Eth?

Postby Jikadyn on September 6th, 2013, 1:22 am

The worst sort of Ethaefal are those who lost all hope and viewed their fall as a cruel whim of the gods. These rare Ethaefal are called "Forsaken" and endure with bitterness and contempt for their former gods. Unmoored from devotion to their deities, they do not shift with the seasons or have the power to age by touch. It is often said, the brighter the soul, the darker the Forsaken.

So what exactly would be a forsaken Eth?

From what I am reading they are just Eth who have forsaken their god, and as such do not change with season and lose the aging power. With this said would they still switch in and out of human form?

They also seem like their form might be twisted from the fact of being Forsaken?

Are they played by players?

A question about Eth?

They do still shift day and night, but their seasonal coloration will be frozen in the appropriate colors of whatever season it is they became forsaken in. If they have been so since their fall, then that season. If they become forsaken at some point thereafter, then that one. Etc.

Their physical form is not twisted or disfigured, however it would not be unusual to play their eth form as being somewhat dimmed or perhaps easier to scar. Whatever you may feel appropriate, ultimately, in the minor and more metaphorical sense.

Caelum was forsaken, and is only recently ascended, so to speak, out of that state. So I can tell you playing a forsaken eth is largely a matter of psyche than form.
