I'm in a fuckin 80s hair metal mood today. And thus am listening to the greatest 80s-style metal band playing today: Steel Panther. 100% Awesomeness.

I love Hurt, simply because their lyrics have tons of meaning behind it, especially personal meaning for me now. Lots of good memories and J Loren is always really emotional when he sings. Plus, he's awesome at the violin.

Right now I'm in a Roe mood. They're sorta a local band, but they're really good and have caught on around some other places too.

Today I'm kind of in a death metal mood. Listening to some old Obituary, a little Carnifex. But mostly working on my own little death metal creation fueled by working out guitar part on my own, then putting them into tuxguitar(Guitar Pro essentially) and adding drums, a second guitar and a bass part. I've spend at least 5 hours on it tonight. It's workin out pretty well.

Man, today i'm so pissed,

Last night, I was playing guitar with a buddy, i was showing him how i played master of
puppets, and then BOOM, my string just broke!
So right now I'm listening to my curse by killswitchengage,
and looking at my guitar thinking "WHY?...."

So I think i'm gonna take out my acoustic guitar and go for smoother songs
for the rest of the night

Try learning Drifting by Andy McKee. It's insane. It'll keep you busy. Impressed the shit out of people too. It's really hard to learn though, especially if you have no fingerstyle experience. But sometimes, playing with a string broken is really awesome practice; it really breaks you out of that box where you kind of always play similar riffs and makes you try stuff you wouldn't normally try with 6 strings.

Anyways. I'm listening to some Nile and Whitechapel and Winds of Plague today.
