It's not exactly sacred, my friend. While it is possible to exist, it is simply not a location that could even be used. Sorry folks.

So there seems to be a little confusion going on regarding Falconry.

I'm pulling this from the Falconry skill and reiterating it here:

Novice falconers can only handle and/or own novice birds. Novice birds encompass the following spectrum:

Corvids (crows, magpies, ravens, etc.), kestrels, small falcons, and some red-tailed hawks.

Competent falconers can handle all novice-birds as well as the following:

All falcons, harriers, ospreys, goshawks, and most other hawks.

Expert level falconers can use the following:

Eagles, some vultures. Higher level experts can BEGIN learning how to handle more obscure and untraditional raptors such as dire-birds, owls, darkeagles, and sunhawks. They might be able to handle a kelvic, but it's a stretch.

Master levels can handle all classic bird types without difficulty and will be able to handle raptor kelvics. Djed-morph avians can begun to be handled at mid-master level, and extremely unusual birds that would otherwise be impossible to handle by others may begin to be handleable (at high master level).

While a falconer can TRY to handle a bird outside of your skill range, it is not generally managed well due to the difficulty. For example, a novice trying to handle an eagle is going to find it virtually impossible. They are large and powerful birds that an entry-level falconer simply lacks the knowledge to control, let alone the strength to.

Quick note on the riots, dearies:

They do not end the same day they begin.

For anyone wanting to go to the Nesting Aeries on that day, you WILL have to have a mod-thread due to the eagles activities at the time.

Harrier has been issued an uninvite from the entire site with her staff account and her PC accounts for constant flaming of a Founder. This has gone on for months and months so enough was enough. Quite a few of you experienced this first hand and quite a few of you came to me with your concerns over this.

My apologies that you were subjected to this situation and dragged into it. I felt she'd get over her issues in time, but instead they got worse. It was my poor judgement that she remained in place as long as she did and this continued for as long as it has.

This was a blatant violation of the Terms of Use. The moment she got wind of this coming to a head, she told everyone she was retiring. It's best, if one is so unhappy, they make the break fully. This insures she does.
