Rinya watched as the large green Akalak consider her question. "Growth chart huh? " In some ways she supposed that made sense. Though adding steps to the Kata was probably simple, Rinya figured that each time one practiced Kata they could flow the steps in any which direction they wanted. It never had to actually be the same, and to some extent until she got used to the steps she was learning now, deviating from routine would probably just cause her to forget what she learned. As it was she had a hard enough time remembering what little alphabet she had learned without Jorin’s presence.
Rinya twitched her nose slightly as Favchean directed her to follow his steps. It wasn’t so much the direction that bothered her--she had been willing to learn this from him--but she knew that she would already have trouble trying to keep track of the rest of the movements thus far. Jorin’s attempt at teaching was quite different--he always made sure she had gotten the basic idea of one movement before pressing onto another. But it was rather unfair of her to think that Favchean should take the same route, so she pressed the idea from her mind and watched his movements closely.
Rinya kept the sigh inwards as she lifted her left arm slowly. The right hook looked decently simple enough, but she worried slightly over the lifting of her knee. She just didn’t have the same balance in human form as she did in hawk. None the less she brought her right arm across her body--perhaps a little lower than she had been aiming for--and did her best to follow up with the knee lift. As she predicted her body wobbled and she dropped her knee in order to regain her balance.
Huffing out a puff of air to brush the hair out of her face, Rinya grinned a little sheepishly at Favchean. "Not exactly great at balance. Something I will have to work on." She left out that her hawk form had a tail to assist her otherwise, mostly because she normally didn’t share with Akalak she was Kelvic. Some guessed by her eyes and the fact that they did not shift as a Vantha’s might. He suggested that they go back over the steps they had learned and Rinya gave a small nod. She remembered most of it confidently enough.
Rinya let him lead only by a few ticks to ensure she was pulling the sequences correct however. There was no point in learning something and doing it wrong later on. But as he moved, he finally answered her random blurted out comment about Beautyfest. Rinya lifted a brow slightly as he mentioned the ‘beautiful ladies’, but decided it was better not to comment on it. He seemed to remember Jorin well enough however considering Jorin’s offer to learn how to spar as well. "Well it would be most appreciated to have him back in one piece yes." Rinya commented lightly, in her best teasing tone she could muster.
Joking with Jorin was completely different than speaking with others. She knew exactly how her mate would react to the said words, but others… she still did not have the best social grace that someone like Rosela had. "Kirsi was certainly deserving of a rings of beads." Rinya nodded her head slightly, even as she nearly lost her balance again. Cursing inwardly, she shook her head before she refocused on the pose she had been trying to work through before speaking again. "She does have those lovely eyes." In all honesty she wasn’t fishing for compliments over herself. In some ways she was trying to be kinder about Kirsi considering the first meeting between the two of them had been… strained at best.
