Question on Seasonal Registries

Postby Khara on July 9th, 2014, 1:10 am

Quick question, since I'm apparently stubborn and fell in love with an area that currently doesn't have an ST (Don't laugh, I'm already pondering a secondary character to throw into another area so I can get the "full experience".)

I've come to understand that it's pretty much expected to post in the Character Registry in the area you'll be active in for the season. However, Wind Reach doesn't yet have a thread up for Summer, not sure if it will considering we're nearing the halfway mark at this time . I noticed over in Alvadas there's a similar situation but people have taken to posting in the Winter registry since that's what they have and it seems to be working in at least letting each other know they are there.

So... to post in the older registry or not? What's considered the norm in this situation? Just wanted to make sure I'm covering all my bases.

Question on Seasonal Registries

I don't think it would hurt to post in the Registry and note that you are actually just there for the Winter season. At the same time, since there is no moderator there and therefor no current Registry, I don't think it would be a problem to not post to the Registry. You could simply post your interest for an RP in the OOC thread, for instance. You could also create a Matchingmaking thread in that particular forum. Or all three.
