Zeltiva forges?

Postby Theodore Miles on July 20th, 2014, 2:21 pm

Hello there, I was wondering if there was a forge for metalsmithing that's available for the public in Zeltiva? So far all I've found is Bohrnn & GoldWoerth, but I think only competent students from the uni and staff can use them, and I'm pretty sure the forge in The Armed Scholar is for apprentices and staff only.

Zeltiva forges?

First off, Welcome to Zeltiva! It's great to have a gadgeteer in the city! :D

Now, to answer your question. I believe you would've been allowed to be an apprentice at Bohrnn&GoldWoerth, even though you are not a University Student (rules bend, things can be arranged ;)). However, you don't have Jewelcrafting, Gadgeteering, Carpentry or Metalsmithing at competent or above (which you can change until you use those skills in-play or reach 50 posts) which is their requirements.

Other than that, I'm sure you could apprentice Rals at the Armed Scholar, which would be more simple, and do your gadgeteering on the side using his equipment. There is also the option of starting your own business, but you would have to see about a loan because it is rather expensive.

And last but not least, a class at the University is only 30 gm (and you get free housing, so you can cash in your housing if you are worried about money), check out the
handbook for more information on that. Its not a bad option, even if you want to only take one class.

But it looks like your best bet is to apprentice yourself at either the Armed Scholar or Bohrnn&GoldWoerth. It's not impossible. If you make up your mind or find another option, pm me and we can work something out for you. :)
