Stretching northward along the coastline of the Suvan Sea, the Cobalt Mountains are the home of the Bronze Wood, numerous ruins, and creatures both strange and fantastical.

The Eyes Burn in the Dark [Maegon, Malemar, Winter, Astrea]

Maegon took a deep breath and calmed down. He was a little tired: the spell wasn't big or anything, but he had produced a bit more res than he needed. Anyway, the results were mixed: the madman was in the ground, incapacitated, which was good, a situation made better when Astrea picked the dagger away from him. On the other hand, she and Rovan were looking at him strangely, possibly fearfully. The reimancer wondered whether they'd let him continue travelling with them.

Astrea asked what to do, shivering all over and holding the dagger awkwardly. I was a bit unsettling to be the only calm one in that cave. "We should see what we can get out of this guy. Whatever he says, tying him up and getting some sleep would be perfect."

Rovan snapped out of it, regaining his senses.
"Yes, let's do that," he managed to say. Rovan fished up his hempen rope to tie the man, and with the aid of Malemar and Winter, he was soon turned into a bundle of ropes. The lunatic seemed to be unconcious from the pain of the blow, so he proved no resistance.

The Eyes Burn in the Dark [Maegon, Malemar, Winter, Astrea]

Maegon leaned against a wall while Rovan and the others tied the madman up. They didn't seem to have a lot of trouble, especially with the physically superior Winter and Malemar, but there was too great an absence of resistance, which Maegon later confirmed as the man being unconscious. Maegon sighed. They'd have to wait for him to wake up.

"We should probably sleep while we wait. I can volunteer for guard duty if no one else wants."
