Learner

The term Learner often refers to a mage's apprentice. The term apprentice has fallen out of favor due to the need of Mages to distinguish the training that is bought and sold among craftsman from the teaching and mentoring that occurs between mages. This term is often a notation of affection or familiarity. Djed Daughters and Djed Sons are often the Learners of their Djed Mothers and Djed Fathers. A Learner never really passes out of the stage of being a Learner to their Master's even when they have Learners of their own.
