Rockward Island
From Mizahar Lore
Rockward Island is an island off the southern tip of Eyktol. It is largely barren rocks and sand, like most of the islands in the south, and is poorly vegetated, with no springs or other natural resources of note. The island has no settlements.
The island did not exist prior to the Valterrian. It was discovered and named by the Zeltivan navigator Timothy de Octans, who drew the first maps of its coast. The trade route from Zeltiva to the cities along the Suvan Sea runs between the island and the mainland, although this area is noted for dangerously high winds. Few ships attempt to sail around the south side, which is prone to high waves and sudden storms; such a storm befell the expedition of Kenabelle Wright when she attempted to do so during the circumnavigation of Mizahar.
