Soul Tree
From Mizahar Lore
Often referred to as "Kihala's Messenger" or "The Lifebringer of the Jungle," the colorful tree appears to be the very essence of life itself. Almost impossible to find and miraculous to stumble upon, one would immediately identify it by its unorthodox, vibrant coloring that makes it seem almost artificial. Its brightly painted roots traverse a wide area outward from its trunk like long veins connecting infinitely to the earth. The tree towers just as high as those around it, but strangely it doesn't seem to have many branches until it reaches the canopy. Due to its appearance and the manner in which it seems to pop up and then disappear, many have come to claim it is a manifestation of the Goddess of Life herself. In fact there are plenty of stories told by its visitors that the forest itself guided them to it, and when they returned to the same spot, the tree had vanished only for another to swear they found it elsewhere. Yet it is not the manner in which the rumored divine tree makes itself known that has merited so much attention to it.
Almost all of the individuals who were "led" to the curious plant were those who generally respected life and were considered people with a sound moral compass. One way or another those that might be deemed respectful toward life and the goddess herself tend to discover it. In the presence of those people the tree was rumored to visibly brighten its colors and whisper to that person alone, though none have resolved to share what it had apparently said.
Stories about the tree and its purpose vary widely. Some agree that it calls to those with light in their hearts, while others think that Caiyha is more responsible for the trees existence than Kihala. Most simply chalk up the stories to legend as the details of the tree and those few who have seen it always seem to remain hazy. Many have made their way through the jungles in search of this legendary tree but the majority return empty handed.
