(The Golden Dragon) Working Around The Problem (Drask)

Drask's sudden voice startled Ever, causing her to jump, and spill the water form the pitcher and the cup. She winced a little as the ice hit the hard surface of the cabinet. She frowned at the mess she had made, "Damnit." Quickly she found a towel, and went to work trying to clean up the spilled water. As she wiped, she then registered that he had asked her a question. Putting on another smile, she turned head, and nodded, "I'm fine, just had to get some water for the customer, is all." She proved her words by starting to fill up the glass again, making sure to not spill any this time.

She focused hard on the surface of the glass, and how cold it felt on her hand. She had been focusing so hard in fact that she failed to notice as the cup started to overflow. She cursed quietly under her breath. Today just wasn't her day. Sighing, she tried one more time, and successfully refilled the cup, but when she turned around to take the glass back to the people, she couldn't help but stop under the look Drask was giving her. "Why are you looking at me like that? I'm just tired, Drask," she tried to explain, becoming far tooo nervous under his eyes, that probably weren't even looking at her the way she thought.

'It's alright Ever, the anxiety will be gone soon,' she old herself, when she felt her hands start to shake a little. Pulling herself together once more, she headed for the doorway in hopes of escaping the room without any further questions.

(The Golden Dragon) Working Around The Problem (Drask)

Drask frowned at Ever as she fumbled with the glass she was preparing, constantly spilling water onto the table. Something wasn't right, and it made him uneasy. Ever was a beacon of light in the otherwise dark and bleak world for him, and to see her in such a state made his heart drop. What was making her act so bizarrely? Had he done something to upset her? He dug through his memories for anything that might have set her off, but he couldn't recall saying anything remotely offensive. Maybe work was just beginning to strain her. Maybe it was nothing to worry about. Drask didn't fully know how the human mind worked, seeing as how he wasn't technically one at all. For all he knew she could be having a "period". From what he little he knew of them, they made females extremely unhappy.

He was taken aback by her snappy response, his body flinching in response. "I-I'm sorry it's just... you seemed troubled and..." but she was already out the door before he could say anything else. With a long, drawn out sigh he turned to the jar of water Ever had been struggling with. He pulled out 4 glasses from a stack of freshly-washed dishware and began to idly fill them while trying to determine what was going on. He left the kitchen in a daze, so much so that he couldn't even remember doing so when he reached the next table. "Hello. Welcome to the Golden Dragon. How can I help you?" he said almost robotically. "Yes... I'll have whatever's for breakfast, and a glass of milk. replied the brown-headed woman. "I'll have the same, and just a small bit of your dreamsmoke" said her red-headed friend, a bright smile on her face. Drask nodded obediently and left the two to discussing whether or not it was unhealthy to smoke in the mornings.

"Two breakfasts and dreamsmoke" He said to an unoccupied chef as he began to fill a two glasses with milk.
Now a Rainbow's tale isn't quite as nice
As the story we knew of sugar and spice
But a Rainbow's easy once you get to know it
With the help of the magic of a Pegasus device.
