For the briefest moment, Noth had possessed the most delightful view of stars, which slowly resolved themselves back to the clarity of the Pig's Foot Ceiling. Still dazed as could be, the rogue felt himself wrenched to his feet and turned around to a man speaking to him and the vaguest sense of his assailant slowing to stare in their direction.
Oye, Need some help?
For a moment, it was all he could do was blink as he felt his stomach muscles tightening from parasympathetic pain, as they began twitch and harden with bruises. The pain was readily apparent, so at least he knew he was still alive. That at least was a good thing he thought as he tried to remember the stranger's words. At least he didn't seem like the sort to hit Noth while he was recovering, but in Sunberth you never knew if it was just an act for a pickpocket to fleece you dry. That's why he didn't bring anything valuable on him today, only his dagger in its sheathe strap by his left shoulder. So he stood and blinked for a few moments more as the words were repeated. Oye, Need some help there man?
Nodding his head slowly his mind struggled to put words in his own mouth as he pinched the bridge of his nose to squint, "Oh sure, if you want to help out, by all means, Do So."
He winced a little as he turned his head slightly to look behind him. Chucking his thumb towards the gambling man who were after Bob, Noth chuckled as he said, "I think I tenderized that one a bit for ya'. If you can handle him, it means I can get Bob up on his feet." Clutching his stomach from the chuckling, he almost doubled over and spat, "He's all yours! But be warned though, bastard's got a killer right kick."
Inhaling deeply, Noth straightened up and gave Zarek a good natured pat on Zarek's shoulder before stepping around the fellow to where Bob lay. He bent over to help the little man up, straightening in time to note what else was happening in the barroom brawl. On the far side of the bar, he noticed a tense standoff involving Cade, a severed head, and a man that looked like he'd be more inclined to sleep with the bears then in any form of city society. Whatever Cade was doing, or not doing, he soon might have to intervene to help if he could. He bet he might still be able to throw a goblet or two if it was necessary...
Then there was the sailor, knocked out and laying on the ground like he was seeing birds. In Noth's eyes that meant for now, all was right with the world.
Lifting Bob painfully to his feet, Noth sucked another breath in to check if his ribs were broken, but found only the slightly sensation of bruises lower down on his sternum. He wouldn't be able to do much more today, and that made him out of the fight for now. Turning to Bob he muttered absently, 'So did you get him?" and chucked his chin towards the now unconscious sailor before turning his eyes back towards the man who lifted him up. He ran a silent inventory of his things and noted nothing had been pinched. Depending on what happened between the stranger and the guy who now charged him, Noth might have to introduce himself and say a word of thanks.
