Her confirmation of the fact that she was homeless as well kind of worked as a relaxant for him, and he felt like they were even more on a common ground than before and stronger then was his pull towards her. Thoughts of what they should do for housing eventually did come up in his mind, but for now he figured bouncing from inn to living outside would do for now until they could find more permanent quarters to suit them and he figured his loner lifestyle could make it without a home, since he had made it this long and he figured Cass could too since she had a tent and all. " Perhaps should we raise enough coin someday we could invest into more permanent quarters but for now I think a active lifestyle will suit us just well " he said with a soft smile, resting the ends of his elbows on the table, and folding his fingers up in a pyramid shape in front of him. Her response to the comment about ale surprised him, and furthered his ideas that most tales revolving around the zith where either false or exaggerated for effect and they weren’t at all what the public portrayed them to be. " No drunkards running about because the mead rivers never stop flowing, my the tunnels must have been quite the paradise " he said either ignoring the comment about drinking blood or not caring about it too much.
Her view point on the role of the other cities guardsmen was a refreshing one never seeing the guards needing his type of armor, or the need for stealth, but the use of it would likely make the men's jobs easier, which why no doubt they had scouts among their ranks that could travel unnoticed ahead of the line to warn the others of any approaching trouble. Still if every guardsman was outfitted with his armor, it would the army of death, so silent would they be, and supplemented with all of their impressive skills it would truly be a force to be reckoned with. " Ah yes lets be glad that they don't all have my armor, then know one would be able to tale a tale of them " he said with a bit of humor in his voice to add levity to the situation. " Your brothers had some wise sayings about them, as silence is power, especially here, and it is best harnessed with practice something I need to do as well sometime, maybe when our wounds heal we can practice together as well some more " he suggested with another smile and put his hands behind his head while staring up at the tavern ceiling.
The loudness of the tavern seemed to be increasing as they stayed there, but his was in the norm for him, and he knew it could get even louder and busier, and likely would before the sun rose again. Being not as distracted by the bustle of the tavern he could pick up on Cass less and less tolerance for the noisy people in the place, if not by body language then by her words. He found himself growing a little bit annoyed with the populace as well inside of the tavern, and standing up he extended a hand to Cass as he spoke. " I think we have waited long enough, come along let's see if we can't find a room over by the sunset quarters " he said, and then he was off heading out the door of the rowdy tavern, and into the open aired street, and after crossing numerous back alleys, and other dark and shady places in the safest part of the lane he could think off, the dead center, they had finally gotten to the slum section of the city, and after a brief walk from their wound up at the sunset quarters where Darian hastily secured a room there with the kind woman he had done business with there on occasion, and then was off to his and Cass's private room, only stopping to take a breath when the door shut behind him, and he looked over at Cass. " Much better " he said with a smile.
