The Serpent's Elixirs “Tassste issss not what you came for. You sssseek curesss not daintiesss…!” Lanendiarasssken, the viper Dhani proprietor of the Serpent’s Elixir, spends half his time brewing and the other half bullying new customers into drinking his vile concoctions. Rasken, as he is known, is one of the most capable brewers in Ahnatep, but has fallen on hard times over his lack of sympathy for the Eypharian palate. While other less talented brewers (or "elixaters") rise past him to social glory, Rasken mans a tent in the Pavilion and hisses at passer-bys. It is only the persuasion of his Eypharian underling, Hajirah, that keeps Rasken from physically abusing his customers for perceived weaknesses. Hajirah has done her best to spruce up the green tent, scattering squat tables and stools over a collage of rugs. Indulging her long forsaken hope to be an artist, she has painted quaint images of serpents on the tables’ edges. She has also overtaken the naming of the elixirs as Rasken’s blunt numerical system lacked in her words “poetry”. Patrons are usually forced to hunch as they try to adjust to the low furniture and cramped interior. And the tent is usually cramped, as young Eypharians boasting social knowledge claim Rasken is the only elixater worth seeing. What spaces the young don’t fill are taken by those unable to afford better or pragmatic Eypharians too busy to wait for an appointment with a private elixater. Since Rasken is not catering to a particular patron or in the employ of a noble house, his elixirs are one-kind-suits-all. They tend to be rough, foul, overpowering and enormously effective. The brightly hued drinks are served in tall glasses and sipped delicately. Those drinking the elixirs tend to wince with each taste, as if bracing for a surprise punch to the face. NPC's Secret :
