Magic and Insanity

Postby Alric Wilmot on September 11th, 2011, 3:16 am

Hello all, my name is Alric and I have a question/suggestion.

Magic on Mizahar is supposed to carry risks with it, and while it's a blast to write, I was wondering how we keep track of what is too much for our characters or when all their years of magic use and occasional Overgiving accumulate? Do we just assume and guess to the best of our ability?

Or is there a sort of point system? Like Insanity points that you earn every time you Overgive? If we don't, would that be a good idea to implement? Or would doing that be detrimental to people's play style? Or,what do you do when your character is already slightly insane from birth? Is that just a trait, or would that mean they were even worse off when using magic?

I was just curious, and thought I'd ask.
