Osami found himself in the enclave slowly reading an small book on his left side as on his right he slowly took down notes in a blank book that was his own. He lost track of how long he was reading but the low growls of his stomach told him it was awhile.

The books he was reading dealt with an odd topic in his view but a topic he had to learn nonetheless which was Beekeeping. He had to start the hobby of keeping bees soon due to his Philtering had to use honey and wax. That was his main reason due to so many recipes he could do had to use wax and to get wax he had to get bees for the honey combs could be turn into wax. Along with that he could also trade his honey with the kitchens and work out deals he had hoped.

However he just pushed that out of his mind as he went back to filling his book with notes and information that he felt was needed. Afterwards he would have to go talk with woodworkers and find a clothing maker due to the items he would need to start this semi-large scale task. Odds are he would need a few hands as well.
__________________________________________________________________
* Basic clothing needed -
1. Hat
2. Bee Veil which is a fish net over the hat that goes down along shoulders.
3. Thick Gloves
4. Thick shirt.
5. Thick pants.
6. High long boots

________
Total Pinions for clothing = 5 - 10 Best guess

* Hive equipment:
10 medium 8 frame hive boxes
80 frames to fit the medium boxes
2 Telescoping covers for 8 frame equipment
2 inner covers or 2 ventilated inner covers for 8 frame equipment
2 screened bottom boards for 8 frame equipment
2 slatted racks for 8 frame equipment
A smoker and something to use to light it
____
Total Pinions = 50-60*1

*1 - This will be worth two hives. For one hive I should half the order however it is better to start with 2-3 hives. Need to see if I can work anything out with woodworkers to lower the price gap. This is for the good of Wind Reach after all.

Going to need to use thin made fishing nets for the boxes and figure something that can smoke more then burn. I read something about a smokestick that could work and I could try to make with my Philtering skills after the orders are in.

____
1 Hive tool - Hive tool will be made out of metal. Flat on one end and curved on the other with a hole on that end. Will be used to scarp things off and pulls the sides of the frames out due to bees keep it stuck close together.

___
Total Pinions = 5-10 Pinions

Total cost = 60 - 80 Pinions
_________________________________________________________________________

Osami just laid the quill down as his hands rubbed along his forehead. He had the pinions but it would be pushing it greatly. He had to work out deals and figure things out but he had nothing to trade other then pinions. He would need to get the items made, help found and then leave when the roads are clear. Maybe he can find other hunters and make it a hunting trip but his goal was for the bees. He still had to read up on how to move them to here and even take care of them. For such a simple idea was slowly becoming harder and harder on his own.

He still had thoughts of seeing if someone else could play bee keeper however he had to use the idea of the bees and wax for so many things it would be cheaper and better in the end just to do it himself. Plus it would never hurt him to show everyone the things he could do in terms of work.

He just had 100 pinions in his little home so this project was going to push it. He still had to get needed items overall to craft things to sell and pull his own weight around. Yet he was sure he could be fine in the end and figure something out. For now he had to go to his home and see if that book of his had any signs of making smokesticks. He was sure he read something about them but he would find out as he stood up picking up his notes and putting things away.

Osami was just a teenager, he stood 5’7 with his orange flame red hair still thick like it was when he was younger. His outfit really never did change much still wearing the same style of pants everyone did for the most part that were more like large skirts and thigh high boots that were made out of a black leather he got just a few years ago as a gift. The muscles overall along his body was more developed as he grew older more so the muscles in his arms and around his chest and stomach.

Dark circles were under his eyes which told the outsider that he was not sleeping well and that was the truth he would guess but most of his life he did not sleep that well with fighting in the family. He did love his family but his brother and father just kept getting under his skin still as if he was eight years old again.

He knew he had to head back to his little home however he just found himself roaming endless around with no clear goal. His mind just going on in circles on how he would pay for the personnel project of his and how to work on his own skills. More so the smokesticks kept popping up in his head but had already had ideas of how to craft them he would just need wood of some type.

Yet even that was pushed back slightly as he found himself in the courtyard of the sky. He really had no idea why he found himself in the courtyard of all areas but he paid no mind to that thought as he just kept walking. Really he was not paying any mind to where he was or who was around him. Maybe his body was telling him he had to be more social and his mind kept fighting that?

SMACK

Books went flying as two bodies were knocked violently off their feet. Aidara, who was never known for her knack of balance, went tumbling head over heels in the dust across the Courtyard before coming to rest on her back, her arms and legs splayed around her as she stared blankly at the sky.

To recap:

Osami, who was clearly not paying attention to where he was walking (daydreaming, no doubt) had collided head-on with Aidara, who was also clearly not paying attention to where she was walking (her field of vision had been severely inhibited by the stack of books she carried that reached past her forehead.)

Addy was only on the ground long enough to realize two things: One, that she was in fact on the ground, covered in dirt and two, that the precious books she had just borrowed and promised to protect with her life....were on the ground, covered in dirt.

"Crap! No! WHY!" In her utter dismay, and the fact that upon her realization that the books had not been protected with her life and she therefore saw her impending doom, Addy had forgone and of her usual preliminary checks to make sure that whomever she had collided with was okay (Yes, it happened often.)

Even for a girl of fourteen, Addy was extremely tiny, but fast. It was in a blur of red and yellow (the latter of which was what her carefully planned outfit consisted of) that the teenager sprang to her feet and scrambled to pick up her books. It was saying much that the girl dusted off each book carefully, completely ignoring the dust that covered all her exposed skin, as well as the clods of dirt the clung to her clothes and air. Addy abohred being dirty.

"No no no no.." She continued to whine softly to herself, still squatting in the middle of the courtyard. It was only when she looked up for a dust-free area in which to shelter her books, that she noticed the boy she had collided with. "Oh, dear. Are you alright? I'm sorry. This happens to me a lot. Are you hurt anywhere?"

Brushing her disarray of red locks from her face, Addy pinned Osami with her intense green eyes, looking him over with an air of one who knew much about the male form (even for such a young age) and how to use this knowledge to get what she wanted. Addy thought she was looking Osami over with a keen healing eye, but this was far from the truth. Yes, she did have a mark from Rek'keli on the inside of her elbow, which had inspired the girls dreams to become a world renowned healer (Although she had no idea why the goddess had chosen her) she was dismayed to find out that unless the Goddess blessed her further, she was destined to heal flesh wounds only. No one can save the world only healing flesh wounds.

So, the girl with the big Endal-Healer dreams had checked out every medical book she could find, with the intent to read them all and further her skills past what her natural gnosis would allow. She may not be strong magically, but that wasn't going to hold her back.

It was these books that were covered in dirt now. And it was with the knowledge Addy had gleaned from the first few pages of the Book of Medicine that lay at Osami's feet that Addy inspected him now. "Nope. Nothing seems hurt." Only an unblemished teenage ego could confirm something such as this with as much authority that her little 4'8" self could muster.

[flashback] Research into the unknown (Aidara)

Postby Osami on May 6th, 2011, 1:47 am

Osami had no idea what to say. First he was minding his own business then out of the blue he was attacked by another person who clearly was not paying any mind to other people. For why would Osami not pay any mind to where he was and keep his head in the clouds? Even if it was rather common as he recalled more then once bumping into stalls or other people once he did start thinking.

When they bumped into each other he found himself sitting along the ground. His right elbow hitting the ground hard as a small trail of blood pooled along the surface and his left ankle was in pain due to it twisted slightly when he fell back out of surprise.

Yet he did not get mad at her when she said he was fine really he just smiled and laugh slightly under his breath. He had thought he saw her in the Enclave a few times when he was in books for different things but he never did really talk to her. When she was outside he was pretty sure she had another person arm in arm who he thought was just a lover and would not let that be the first thing out of his mouth to ask.

“Are you okay?”

Such a simple question he asked as he moved his right hand down pushing his body up on his right arm. Or at least trying to yet the elbow would not let him as a flash of pain showed along his face as he let his backside back down along the ground. This was not going to be his day clearly.
Yet his eyes looked about trying to find the notebook of his but it would seemed to have gotten mixed up with her books but he just shook his head at the thought of it getting lost. Clearly she would know which book was which would she not?

He moved his left arm pushing his body up standing at last. His weight at first avoiding his left leg yet as he took his first step he took it with his left foot pushing all his weight along the wounded ankle and once again he would find himself back on the ground if the female did not catch him. Clearly not his day.

"Yes yes, I'm fiiiine!"

Still completely preoccupied by the mess she had made with her books, Addy did indeed overlook the fact that she had gathered up the boys notebook as well. "I really am sorry I did that. I am so stupid, stupid, stupid!" In a somewhat childish fit of frustration, Addy stamped her foot to emphasize each word. When she was done doing this, the young girl tipped her gaze upwards now, peering at the boy she had knocked over. He had pushed himself to his feet, while she was still squatting next to her book pile.

"I'm Aidara, but please call me Addy. 'Aidara' is so...formal. I feel like I've done something wrong when people call me that. 'Aidara, you've broken the glass again!' 'Aidara, clean up after yourself.' 'Aidara, stop kissing boys in public'.. You get the point." Even as a teen, Addy had a devestating smile, and she used it on her new aqentance. "And what's your name? You wouldn't happen to be free to help a girl carry her books...?" She let the sentence trail off into a question, batting her big green eyes at him with all the seduction her fourteen year old self could muster (she had been practicing in the mirror, however). "It would be terribly kind of you, and I just don't know how I would be able to repay you."

Quite confident that he would say yes, Addy began to split a couple of the books off into a smaller pile: the one that she would carry herself, leaving the larger stack for Osami. Once she had moved from her squatting position to a standing one, Addy could clearly see where the boy had scraped himself in the fall. This made her overly excited. "OH no! You are hurt! I can fix that! Oh please, oh please let me try!" Practically bouncing with enthusiasm, Addy paused for only a moment to add "We'd have to go back to my place, of course."

She was bubbly all right. That is what came to mind when she started talking. Yet the second thing came to his mind was that she was cute. Maybe the fact she was bubbly added to her charm or it could have been her batting her eyes at him even if a part of him thought she had something in her eye when she did that.

He could stand on his leg however he would not dare try putting all his weight on it or run on it. “I had nothing better to do other then ponder over a few things so I would be happy to help you. I am Osami.” He said softly as he looked down at the piles of books. Oh she was evil for making him carry more then her.

Yet the fact she lit up at the sight of his pain made him wonder if she was crazy or not. Maybe she was just a bit and maybe when he did go to her place she would put him in a stew and eat him up. Was it worth it to get to know her? Would he risk that? Yes. Yes he would as he picked up the pile of books and slowly started walking by her letting her lead the way.

Osami really had no nicknames like she did. Really he had no friends when everything was said and done. He was so focus on his work and the work to help the people around him his social graces were limited to books and his research even at just fifteen. He really did not know how to deal with other people so he would let her do the talking. He would just give a small push in the right area.

“I have seen you around but don’t know you. Care to tell me about yourself?”

He was hoping that would get her to start talking and just let him overall nod and smile but really he did mean the question. He would love to understand and know more about someone who attacked him without thought and enjoyed the sight of the wounded.

Addy didn't lack much tact at her young age, but she did manage to feel a little bad as she watched her new friend limp around and grab her books. Oh...He is rather hurt...maybe I should take them and carry them all myself. But Osami had turned to meet her eyes, his face lighting up in a smile that made Addys heart melt just a little. He'll run away if I take them all. I want to keep him. A possessive child among other things, Addy continued to favor him with her bright smile, moving to his side and slipping her arm through his as he bundled the books against his chest. She could hold her small stack in one hand, propped against her hip.

"Here, let me help you. You can lean on me. We need to do something about that cut, yeah?" It was just an excuse to get close. It hadn't taken Addy long to realize that she loved the feel of other people, and loved to have them feel her back. Yes, she did realize that sex got her just as many benefits as a well placed smile and dimples. For a child who grew up with nothing to her name except her dear twin, this was like hitting the jackpot. It would be years before Aidara learned that getting your way in everything didn't lead to happiness, but it also lead to trouble.

But that's another story.

"About me, hm? Well, lets see. I have a twin, and her name is Sairque. She's always climbing though, or getting into fights, but we're hardly ever apart. I don't know who my mum or dad is, and we've been passed around from family to family, that it's gotten to the point where we now just look for someone who can give us food. We don't have jobs, see." This was all stated matter of factly, with no hint of embarrassment or shame, as what Addy had said about families was not uncommon in Wind Reach. Those whose parents kept and cared for them were considered among the lucky.

"We can't count on that forever. And we both skip most of our Yasi classes. This she said with her voice dropping down to a conspiratory whisper. "We're both going to be chosen as Endal. We won't need schooling then. And with that, Addy giggled cutely and hugged herself closer to Osami's arm. "I have this..." She pulled up the sleeve of her vanti to show her never-ending knotted gnosis mark. "Though I am still trying to figure out why she chose me. Rek'keli, that is. So in the meantime, I'm practicing conservative medicine. Or I'm trying to. I love the birds too much. I spend way too much time in the eagle stables and with Val and the falcons." This was accompanied by a pretty blush, as if she was ashamed of being so motivated to try her hand in so many different things, and still have time to be social.

"But enough about me. I want to know more about you. What where you doing before I swept you off your feet?" A glance at the stack of books he carried and she added "Is that your notebook?" and then, after realizing they had been walking for long minutes, Addy became concerned again and stopped their progression. "Oh dear, I forgot about your cut. Do we need to stop? Are you okay? I'm sorry! I'm so selfish!" And Osami got a first hand look at the Aidara that she kept from most people: Passionate, Emotional and Insecure.

Osami just kept smiling at her as she talked. He enjoyed what she had to say even if he did not know her really. However as they walked he felt like he was learning more of her and her sister. He did not mind that they were close and he had to lean along along her warm body.

"Nothing really to tell of my life. I am a Herbalist and a Philterer due to my Mother is also one by trade. I do live with my family...however I wish I had it like you with you and your sister. Me and my Brother don't get along at all. Can't stand my father who does not care of anything of me but just my Brother as I don't show signs of any type of hunting skills or even leadership skills."

He said as he let his head lean on her shoulder, his words leaving his mouth softly along her ear as he kept his mind off his ankle, books and arm. The arm was just trailing along his arm with blood droplets hitting the ground. However it was slowly clotting on its own with a mix of dirt and stonebits in his skin which would have to be clean one way or the other.

"I don't think I can make it as an Endal even if I would enjoy the lifestyle. I much prefer just researching and making potions of sorts or herbs to help other people which can then help our home. I was trying to form a idea to see if I can have live bees and be a beekeeper due to I need a lot of wax and honey overall however after thought I really think I can only get it from traders due to the life here is just to harsh."

Osami was many things however one of them was not being foolish or dumb. The fact that he spent the last few days in the Enclave researching books on bees and how people even become beekeepers showed his vast understanding of the world around him. While he did understand that even if he had the funding it would be very hard to keep bees alive for long. He would just have to worry about the traders and hope he could tell them to bring more beeswax.

"No no, we don't need to stop. We just need to boil some rags and clean out the wound. I hate to say but I don't know much about Rek'keli yet I would love to read more about her and look at your mark in more detail once we get to your place."

Another flash of his smile was shown as he just kept walking with her. It was just a little blood and he could not bleed to death from such a scarp and fall. If he could then no one would be alive due to the wounds hunters faced and the hunted. "Would you mind if I read some of the books you have once we are at your place? Always have wondered about medicine as if I knew more of it I could try to make healing balms and potions to help everyone as well but I am sure your nature skills will always outshine mine."

“Don’t feel too bad about your brother. Sometimes I wish Sai would go away. But we don’t really have a choice since we are twins and all. Not to mention the fact that if it’s powerful enough, we can feel each others emotions.” Addy nodded sagely as she said this, only semi-serious about wishing Sai was gone. In truth, it was doubtful that the teenager would be able to make it through a single day without her beloved sister.

“But an herbalist and a philterer?! I am extremely jealous Osami! You have to show me…how!” Moving quickly past the heavier topics, Addy instead gushed at her companion as she lead him carefully along the corridor that lead to the rooms she shared with her sister. “I actually don’t really know what a Philterer is. But I’m sure it would be a handy skill to know.” Truth be told, Addy was determined to be good at something. Since her sister had been chosen by Catabasis, the girl felt completely useless. She and Sai had been fighting a lot, mostly instigated by Addy’s jealousy and insecurity, but none the less angry words were exchanged. Ever since Sai had shouted at her to get over herself and get on with her life, because no eagle would ever choose her, the new Endal had planted the seed of doubt in her twin. “I enjoy helping people, and also being with the raptors” It was true. Scared from her perusal of a Wind Eagle, Addy instead turned her love of the birds towards Falconry. Birds didn’t judge you, nor did they tell you how much you failed at life. Addy found this extremely comforting.

“I think I’m going to like you, Osami. We’re two of a kind.” Another bright smile and she hugged the boy close as she turned them both towards a door on the left hand side of the corridor down which they had been strolling. Reaching out, the knob was turned and the door swung inwards. “Saaaaaaaaaaaaai! I’m home!” Her obnoxious call was met with silence and Addy turned to smile at Osami “It looks like we have the place to ourselves!”

Leading the way into the common room, Addy indicated to the low table on which Osami could place the books. She smiled again as he complimented her natural talents, and inquired as to if he could also read the books she had borrowed from the Enclave. “Of course. I can only have them for so long, but I can only read one book at a time! There are some things I just… know. About healing, I mean. It’s like common sense to me, I guess. It must be because of my mark” Slender fingers traced at the knotted pattern on her arm again “I can try to explain it to you, what I know. I don’t know how good at teaching I would be, though. But I think I know where to start.”

After ushering Osami onto the couch, Addy darted off into the washroom. When she returned, it was with a bowl full of water and a soft bit of cloth. “We can wash this out. But let’s try it this way: I know what to do. Why don’t you try and walk me through what you think you would do for a patient. I can correct mistakes, and then we can move on to the reading material, or you could teach me a bit…” Raising a brow, the girl set the bowl down on the table as she sat down next to Osami, holding out the cloth for him to take with sparkle of excitement in her eyes.

Additional Note: Never ever turn in an all centered post again. This will be the last one I grade (or allow anyone in WR to grade. They are horribly annoying to read. Osami, if you have books you have to explain where you get them as well as where you get the blank ones to write in. All this has to be accounted for in your ledger. You just can’t get beekeeping EQ in WR so saying ‘your talking to people about creating these things’ doesn’t work… thread work needs to be done. Too bad the thread ended before it was done.
