Strange meeting (Sama'el)

Gin got to her clothing and morphed. She didn't mind the stares of Horse as she put her clothing back on. She half expected Sama'el to do the same but was happy to find he didn't. When she had her dress on, she put her cloak in her arms and walked out from behind the rock. "I'm sorry about earlier. My name is Ginchoeri, but you are free to call me Gin. Thank you for the escort." She bowed slightly and stood staight up again smiling. She walked up to Horse and petted his nose with her thin slightly coarse fingers. She giggled, her blue eyes shining in the sun. Her long silvery-white hair shifting in the wind.

He had already told her his name and his station, the better she might know that she was safe with him. But when she spoke, he turned around and smiled diffidently. She looked almost like a Konti, changed shapes like a Kelvic, and lived among the Drykas. That was certainly an intriguing combination, though he did not ask any questions that she might consider rude.

"You are welcome, Ginchoeri," he said, testing out her full name first. "Next time you want a run, just ask us. Horse obviously likes you."

Gin walked you to Horse. Lacing her gentle yet slightly calloused fingers into his mane, "He's very loyal. I half expected him to run after me when we turned back, but he knows that there are times he should listen to his master rather then his instincts." She smiled. She patted Horses neck and walked towards Sama'el. "You are very good with horses, and I assume with people too. You seem to send a calming aura around you, but with the shape you're in I am sure you are quite strong." Her smile got even bigger. "I'm sure I'd be quite safe with you. So, I just might take you up on that offer."
She turned back to Horse, "Are you up for that?" she asked with her hands clasped behind her back and she was slightly bent at the torso, making her look shorter then she really was.

Horse snorted at her caress, confused by her horse smell and human body that wasn't quite the same as a human body that rode horses, but she was kind and smelled like something good and familiar, so he didn't bite her fingers off.

"We've been together a long time," he assured her. "We trust each other." Her praise made him smile, but also blush a bit in embarrassment. He felt weaker for his recent illness, but was glad he hadn't lost what progress he had made physically. He was still damned thin, but his arms were bound in whipcord muscle and his grasp on the scimitar was firm and strong. "Whenever you're ready," he mumbled.

Horse snorted in the affirmative, understanding her body language in the manner that horses did.

She smiled and laughed. "Well," she thought for a bit, "Would you kindly walk with me to my tent." It was an honest question. There was no hidden meaning behind it. She just wanted to talk to the man that was being so protective of someone he'd just met. She wanted to know more about him, and she was sure he wanted to know more about her. She liked Sama'el, he seemed gentlemanly yet still had the feel of a man born for the wild. It intregued her, along with his good looks. Though he had mumbled about being ready she knew that he was trust worthy, even if it seem he was a little out of practice.

"Of course," he said.

Planting his hands on Horse's saddle, he swung his legs around, hands coming up when necessary to allow for the swing of those legs, and then he slid down Horse's barrel to land at his feet. It was a quick bit of acrobatics, nothing fancy, but clearly he could pull of a bit of a flash where horses were concerned.

And the girl, she was pretty in both forms and he wondered briefly if ever he and Horse would be in competition for the affections of a woman. If she could as easily be a Windrunner as a girl, that was certainly a possibility. But it was a strange one and, now on his feet, he smiled and nodded toward the tent city, starting to walk in that direction.

"How long have you lived among us?" he asked after a while, curious to know more about her. Privacy was a funny thing among people whose walls were made of canvas or hide.

She smiled at his small acrobatics. When he started walking she easily kept his pace. She listened to the sounds of nature and after a while Sama'el asked her a quetion. She giggled puting her hand in front of her mouth with her fingers curled, "Do all Drykas ask this question first or something? It seems I can't get away from it." She paused, "But, I shall answer you with this. About two seasons ago, your people saved me from a near death situation. That is when I came to live here, and I am eternally greatful to your people."
She turns towards the back of the encampment, heading in the direction of her tent. Humming a sweet melody as she walked.

"We're a bit like a herd of horses," he offered. "We like to know who else is in the herd, even temporarily." He smiled and asked no more questions, unsure whether her laugh was meant to dismiss them. Of course the Drykas had a special place in their hearts for horse Kelvics, who in many ways bridged the gap between themselves and the horses they loved and upon which they depended for life.

Horse walked along with them, occasionally sniffing at Gin, curious as to how she still smelled so much like a horse while living in the skin of a woman. Poor beast.

Gin stopped when she felt Horse breath on her neck. Turning around she smiled, "That tickles you know. Hehe, I know you don't understand why I smell like this but I can't help it." She patted his nose. She giggled again. "You know Sama'el, I wonder why it is then that your people talk AT the horses rather than WITH them. I've always talked with them... Maybe my idea of how things work is just wierd. What do you think?"

"I think we do talk with them," he said, confused. At least, he had a sort of dialogue with Horse and with Dohaina, the Semes and even Jyn's Ugly Pony. They didn't speak Pavi and he didn't speak a true equine language, but they conversed and communicated as best they were able. Both lacked the vocal and physical apparatus to communicate as the other race, but they could still communicate.

"But perhaps you mean something different from what I understand you to mean?"
