Fall 30th, 511 AV The crowded market place of Endrykas filled Ly's point of view. She pushed through the crowds, her grasp tightening on the harness of the mixed blood mare, Ka'reana. She glanced out from behind the wool hood of her grey cloak, staring at a fruit stand, her stomach letting out a loud rumble, hidden by the bustle of the crowd's talking and yelling. She walked towards the stand, her amber eyes narrowed at the sight of the deep red apples, gleaming in the torch light. By the time she made it to the stand, the crowd had become thinner, Good, less witnesses. Ly thought devilishly, a small smirk forming at her lips. She went up to the stand, pulling her small body out between two men. The owner was busy counting the many coins he had gotten from the last hungry traveler. Ly quickly grasped two apples in her hands, shoving them into her sleeves and going back to take some more. The man looked up this time, staring at her with a bit of distast. Ly looked up at him from underneath the hood, blinking innocently before turning away, charging back into the crowds. She did not look back until she heard shouts, "Stop that woman! She's a thief!" Ly turned and gasped as she saw the man running at her, pushing through the crowds as if they were only mere obstacles. Ly turned, breaking into a run, pulling Ka'reana along with her. Ly continued running through the crowds, her breathing short and unsteady and her legs wobbly. She looked back, the hood flying from her head, and gasped as she saw the man slowly but surely catching up, "They were just apples!" she shouted, tripping slightly, but regaining her balance after the second. Sweat beaded down her tan face, her bright amber eyes were wide and full of an unknown fear. Her hair whisked out behind her in a messy ponytail, the black mare close behind. She glanced back, then forward and saw a huge crowd in front. A small, devilish grin came to her lips and she barged right in. Screams and shouts were heard, the man behind her was also shouting, but it was drowned out by others. She glanced around, noticing a hiding spot between two large tents. She turned quickly, kneeling down in the shadows, panting. She watched the man fly by, not taking any notice to her. Ly smiled, straightening up. She turned, walking down to the other sides of the tents. There was less of a crowd there. She pulled out the two apples, licking her lips[, but she crashed into a tallish man, the apples flying from her hands into a small crowd. She growled, staring up at a smallish Inarta, "Hey! Watch where your going!" she yelled, stomping her petite foot. |
