The Looking Glass

Danai is short and slender. At 5'2", she barely fills out her furs. Her long black hair rolls down her back in waves to her waist. Brilliant blue eyes when she's calm, ruby when she's angry; Danai's eyes change color with her mood like most Vantha, making her an open book. A long, dark tattoo snakes it way down her spine. Danai is very feminine given the harsh conditions she lives in, but she's as strong as any other hardworking Vantha.

Ripples Under the Surface

Danai has been brought up by loving parents who've raised her to be strong and independent. With only two years left before her parents will force her hand into marriage if she hasn't found a partner, she's determined to gain all the skills and experience she can in the meantime. Driven by her need to cram everything in, her social life is lacking and she often bails on friends to study or train instead.

When she does crawl out from her mountain of books, she makes up for all those hours of lost fun and her wild streak usually gets her into trouble.

My Life is an Open Book

Danai grew up an only child to loving parents. She's spent her entire life in Avanthal as part of the Winterflame hold, preparing for training to become a Cook.

With a typical childhood full of fun and memories to be treasured, she has nothing but love for her parents and extended family.

As she's matured, so has another side of her personality. Too much partying and too many excessively good times have led to run-ins with authorities. That side of her refuses to be wholly quieted.

The only dark cloud to her life has been knowing that marriage would be coming sooner than later. She's done everything to avoid it, including making a deal with her parents on her sixteenth birthday, for four more years of freedom. Her parents agreed with the promise that she would wed the person of their choosing by her twentieth birthday if she hadn't found someone yet. Danai squandered the first two years of her freedom away on fun, with hardly any skill to show for it. With the clock now ticking down in the second half of what's left, she's got a newly found determination. Nothing else will slow her down.
