Timestamp: Day 26 - Fall A.V. Tired after a long day of work, Vez trodded down the street as a small gust of wind playfully ruffled his hair. It was beginning to get dark, and he was heading towards one of his favorite locations as of late. He had been visiting The Rearing Stallion for some time now ever since his father passed away. He liked to drink away the memories, and The Rearing Stallion had some rather good food and refreshing ale to boot. Vez's stomach started to rumble has he finally approached the tavern. I wonder what Mrs. Aargon is cooking tonight, he thought. He frowned down at his stomach when it began to rumble again and reached out to open the heavy tavern door. As soon as he passed through the threshold Vez's shoulders relaxed. The atmosphere of the room felt normal, and gave Vez a sense of comfort. He took off his green woolen cloak and hung it next to a few others on a wooden peg next to the door. Turning around, Vez gave Kevith a wide smile and waved as he made his way to his normal spot. Since it was getting late, the tavern was starting to fill up with patrons, but it wasn't busy enough yet to be considered crowded. Vez took his seat at a table close to the hearth. The warmth of the fire reminded him of working next to a hot forge. He leaned back in his chair and closed his eyes, simply enjoying the enviroment. He slowly opened his eyes when he realized someone was standing next to him. "Welcome back Vez, what can I get you tonight?" Seth asked, with a cheerful expression on his face. "Some dinner and a mug of ale please" Vez replied. He didn't know what was being served tonight, and quite frankly he didn't care. The food here almost always tasted more than satisfactory. "That would be seven silver mizas," Seth stated, and Vez reached into the bottom of his trouser pockets to fish them out. "Heres eight." Vez winked and the boy smiled as he took the coin and left to put in the order. Alone once again, Vez leaned back and started to mentally recap his day. |
