Mizahar NANOWRIMO Idea

At the risk of sounding stupid, I'll admit I never heard of nanowrimo until it was brought up on here. I've never bothered with looking at word count since my last college paper which was longer ago than most on here have been alive! Is it hard? How exactly do we go about doing this?

I would like to suggest that when the sign-up thread is made, that either the code for or a link to Kai's word count chart be added. That way anyone who wants to use it to help them keep track of their word count can find it easily when they're signing up.
