Cassy Age & Birthday: 8; 16 of Fall, 501 AV Death: Winter of 509 AV Life In life Cassy lived the normal life of a little girl in the region of Taldera. Her family consisted of her, her mother and her father as well as an older brother. For as long as she could remember, Cassy was happy. Her parents had a moderate income and farmed for their every day needs. They had a little home close to the Spires, and little or no trouble ever broke the peaceful atmosphere of their home. Death Secret : The season that year had been a hard one. The crops that came in were barely enough to feed the family, and the game were sparse. When winter came, the family had become desperate. They faced starvation and it seemed that none would survive the winter. One night, Cassy was walking along the edge of the frozen lake. She was often told not to by her mother because the ice was quite thin that season, but this evening she simply could not resist seeing the moon reflected on the ice. She wore her robe of animal skin that evening, but as she drew closer to the edge of the lake she shed this and stood at the edge in only her flowing white night gown. As she was taking in the sights, goose bumps forming on her skin, she heard a noise from the surrounding trees. Looking back she saw nothing and thus dismissed it, but as she turned she felt something approach and shove her out into the middle of the lake. She slid and landed heavily on her side, and the cold ice cause burns to rise on her exposed arms. Looking back, Cassy saw something horrific. On the shore stood her brother. He was 8 years her elder and the time tending the crops and hunting had left him big like his father. He looked at his sister with something like a mix of relief and despair mixed with a bit of pleasure that made his eyes look wild and his smile a horrific line that split his face. Cassy took this in, unable to speak. Then she heard a crack, and she looked down at the ice below her. Lines of cracks were tracing their way out from under her form. With a cry she reached out to her brother on the shore, but he had already turned away. With a final CRACK, the ice gave way and Cassy fell into the depth of the freezing water. The last thing she saw before her mind was overcome by the darkness was the full moon shining bright through the ice and water, and her brothers twisted face burned forever into her mind. Character Appearance In life Cassy had blond hair and blue eyes like her mother, but in death she lost both. Her hair reaches down to her legs and is silvery grey in color. Her eyes reflect the darkness that swallowed her life, and they glow with an otherworldly blue light. To this day she continues to wear that white nightgown from her last moments of life, and flakes of ice dot the fabric and her hair, reminiscent of her death. Cassy's shoes were lost when she fell into the lake, and thus in death she does not wear any. In all, she is a rather morbid sight. A little girl who always seems to shiver with cold, covered only by a thin cloth and ice... Personality She is sorrowful... angry... but not completely lost to the darkness. She is very much still a child, given to childish tantrums and irrational thoughts. She cries often and morns her lost life, but she cannot let go of the shadow of life that she now lives. Thus she wanders, unsure of what to do. Filled with anger and sadness that will plague her until she is released.
