The place with the most books (Coren)

Little girl? Ok, NOW it was personal. She gave up on finding information on Kelvics for now. Learning through experience was infinitely more effective. Besides, she had declared a challenge. If she left him alone before the day was finished, she would be seen to have been bluffing, and her threats would never again carry weight. This was her logic as she followed him back to his desk, her arms still crossed. She decided to start small, so that she would be able to get increasingly annoying until he caved to her demands. She stood to the side of his desk (she didn't want to obstruct any real business, since she was on a mission of JUSTICE and bothering anyone other than this one person would interfere with her righteousness. So to start with, she just stood there and stared at him, while she tried to think of what she could do that would be slightly more annoying...

Coren just made himself comfortable on his chair, not even glancing at the little girl who was standing right beside the counter, as he began organizing the stuff that was lying on top of it. Mentally making a note to put those things away if he was going to take a nap again, he really had messed them up during his sleep.
When that little job was done he just leaned back and kept his eye on the door. Still not giving the little girl standing beside his desk any sign that he cared she was standing there.

After a few chimes passed he finally glanced to the little girl.
“Little girl this is your idea of trying to annoy me, your really just talk, so why don't you just go and do something useful and get your book? Your mom, or whoever is watching over you, probably is getting worried.” He felt a bit of pity cross his mind as he thought about the poor people who had to watch this little brat. But then again they raised it this way so they made their own punishment. After he said that he just turned away from her and looked back to the door. Letting out a small yawn in boredom.

For a moment, a pang of guilt crossed Alea's mind at the thought of her mother worrying. But she'd left home almost twenty days ago, and besides, "I left her a note. And I watch over myself now." Her tone was defensive, but she was surprised that the man was this stupid. Just because she didn't like to read, he thought she also couldn't take care of herself, when in reality books were useless and completely unnecessary to live.

Thinking of home also reminded Alea of her elder sister, and how much they used to irritate each other, and she got an idea. Since he was pretty much ignoring her, she moved unobtrusively behind him, and then put her middle finger in her thumb and flicked him on the back of the head.

Coren couldn't help but scoff at the little girl's words. He would have bet a golden miza on the fact that she couldn't look after herself, at least not in the way most people defined looking after themselves. “Right, I doubt you could even keep watch over an animal, let alone yourself.” After he said that he went back to ignoring the little girl and just began clearing up a bit of space right in front of him on the desk and picked up a sheet of paper and dropped it in front of him, intend on practicing his glyph's for a few hours, as he carefully began opening the vial of ink however he felt a little bit of pressure on the back of his head.

He just shook his head as he figured out who was probably the cause of it. Putting the vial down and turning around in his chair. Looking straight at the little girl with a blank stare on his face. And flicked the little girl's nose as hard as he could. Before turning back around, he didn't know much about raising kids, but if he did hear that if you did something what an animal didn't enjoy right after they showed behavior that you didn't want them to show, they usually quit it after a few tries. He didn't see a reason why it wouldn't work on a little brat.

Coren was about to receive a lesson in teenage psychology.

"OW!" Alea's hands flew to cover her nose, which was now in rather quite a lot of pain. That hurt! That was completely unfair! Ow. He was NOT going to get away with this. Since he hurt her, she was going to hurt him right back. She made a clumsy fist and swung at the side of his head as hard as she possibly could.

Coren was completely caught by surprise by the hit to the back of his head. Letting out a small muffled cry of pain, before immediately turning around and giving a pissed glare towards the only person who could have hit him in the back of the head. Before standing up form his chair, grabbing the little girl roughly by her upper arm and dragging the, probably struggeling, teenager towards the door with a little bit of effort, not caring if he had hurt her in the process. Heck she probably deserved to be smacked in the face for it.

After a short struggle getting towards the doors he just stopped and gave her most pissed of glare he could manage.
“Now if you offer your appologies right now, I might be tempted not to throw you out of the library, face first into the snow.” He strengthener his grip a bit, not thrusting the little girl enough not to try and break away from his grasp.

Alea was incapable of apologizing, especially for something she'd done on purpose. She winced at his grip on her arm, and was well past the point of ever forgiving the man for any of this. Snarling, she clawed at his face with her free hand, trying to scratch him, and in the process, inadvertently tearing at the mask that covered his mouth. Maybe if she surprised him enough, he would let her go and she could assault him properly.

Coren let out a few curses in vani as the little brat tried to scratch him in the face. And after a short struggle he managed to use his one free hand to snatch the little kid's offending limb and pull it down, though his mask was hanging half down thanks to the little girl's attempts to scratch his face. Or pull it of, but he wouldn't know why the heck she would do that.

“Morwen damn it, you sure your mom didn't throw you out of your in irritation with your annoying behavior?” He grunted out as he tried to catch both of her wrists in one hand so that he could open the damn door and throw the little menace outside. Maybe morwen would take pity on him and send a pack of snow their way and give the little girl enough of a could so that she had to stay inside for a few weeks. Less chance of him seeing her again. After failing to catch her two wrists he just let go of one hand for a brief moment and pulled open the door. A the cold late fall wind blowing inside as he did so.
“Why don't you go outside and cool of you little brat.” He angrily muttered to himself as he gave the one arm he was still holding a hard yank, trying to stuff her through the door.

Alea struggled even harder when the man grabbed her free arm. It tied up both of her potential weapons. Fortunately, it also tied up both of his, so he couldn't retaliate. But then he tried to hold both her wrists in one hand, which was NOT going to happen. She WOULD NOT allow him that much of an advantage.

When he let go of her hand to open the door, that was all the chance she needed. She grabbed the arm that was still holding her and bit down as hard as she could into the wrist, hoping it would hurt him enough to let her go. She wanted to run back into the room and find something that could give her an advantage...

Coren's eyes went wide as the little brat suddenly bit down as hard as he could on the arm he was still holding her with, thanking morwen for the fact he was wearing a thick coat that worked more or less as Armour against that little brats teeth. It probably wouldn't even leave teeth prints now with that amount of cloth between his arm and her teeth. Still, coren let out a small yelp of surprise but kept his grip on the kids arm. “Stop biting you damned kid.” He growled out as he grabbed a fistfull of her hair and tried to pry the damn kid of his arm with as much force as he could. Probably guessing that if he tugged her hair hard enough she had to yell out in pain and loosen her jaw a bit so he could pry his arm out of her trice damned maw. Slowly increasing the force he was putting on her hair as she didn't seem to be letting go anytime soon. Getting a bit more irritated the longer she was biting down on his arm.
