it has been brought to my attention that our word counter might be inaccurate. I can easily believe that since it's a third-party modification that comes with no guarantees. So, in advising you to use an external word counter as well (such as your favorite word processor's), I'd like to assure you that your ACTUAL word count will be used when determining winners. And while I'm at that, I've made a query for getting your November word counts out of the database. Keep in mind word counters never really agree with each other, as counting words is not such a simple task. This query simply counts the whitespace in your posts.
I'm going to assume the most lenient timezones in the count. That is, you all started writing in Pago Pago and will finish the month in Funafuti, on the opposite sides of the date change line, giving you 23 extra hours. It's a little boost to balance out the difficulty of doing NaNo for the public to read as opposed to your private file that you could word pad with garbage to your heart's desire.
I'm going to update this daily. Let me know if you find the count OBVIOUSLY wrong. Current standings as of ten minutes ago (remember I started counting from GMT -12). All accounts included, mods and non-participants alike.
EDIT: Only the In-character forums are in the count. Scrapbooks, etc, do not count towards this total.

The built-in counter is buggy and will award you the word twice if you preview your post.
