While Sylira is by far the most civilized region of Mizahar, countless surprises and encounters await the traveler in its rural wilderness. Called the Wildlands, Syliran's wilderness is comprised of gradual rolling hills in the south that become deep wilderness in the north. Ruins abound throughout the wildlands, and only the well-marked roads are safe.

Cicatrice stuck her tongue out childishly at Talbot's retort, smiling brightly as she came back to stand by her horse, giving the mare a soft pat. She watched Talbot lift and secure the boar to his own horse, surprised that the man was able to lift something so heavy. Well, maybe it wasn't so heavy for the man...Now she felt weak. Shaking her head softly to rid herself of those thoughts, she began to return her sword to her pack. "Alright, where would a good place to set up look like?" She was starting to realize how particularly useless she was on this trip. She'd never travelled, and she had no survival skills of her own. It amazed her that Talbot agreed to have her accompany him.
It was then that Talbot's warning reached her, having just secured her sword on her person. Turning, she heard the snorts of angry boars bearing down on them from the tall grass, a shock of fear running through her. Did she risk drawing her sword and try to fend them off, or take her chances by mounting her horse and running? Could she manage to control and steer her horse at that kind of speed? Most likely not...
Her sword came unsheathed, held tight in her hand. It would be the first time she used the true blade in any sort of combat, but the weight felt familiar in her grasp, becoming an extension of her arm. The first boar that made it to the road had its side impaled by the sharp edge of her steel. |

Talbot's expression projected fear, surprise, and for whatever reason, pride, when he saw Cicatrice draw her sword and skewer one of the attacking boars. She handled that relatively well on her own, but she would need assistance to evade the others. He kicked his horse into action and it reared up in front of the oncoming legion of wild pigs. Most squealed and scuttled away, but the group apparently had its share of braver individuals.
Even though he was fed the event too quickly to process, he knew it was safer to stay up on his horse where he was less vulnerable to attacks. In its disconcerted state, it was hard to control, but at least he was out of harm's way. Cicatrice's horse had already taken to the road to get away from danger, though it wasn't too far away.
Most of the boars that had fled earlier returned and were prepared to attack again. In a panic, Talbot struggled to direct your horse towards Cicatrice, but with a few sharp prods, it burst forward to her side. "Get on," he said, extending his hand to her. |

While she had been rather successful in attacking the first boar, it had been ahead of the herd, easier to pick off. As the rest of them began to charge at her, the girl found herself scrambling to avoid their sharpened tusks. If one of those managed to hit her, it would be devastating. She narrowly missed being impaled by one of the later boars who turned into her.
As it was, she had to jump out of the way, which threw her off balance. In the moments she needed to right herself, one of the quicker boars bore down on her, catching her left thigh with its sharp tusks. She let out a cry, her free hand moving to cover the wound as she hobbled away, having difficulty holding her sword against them as it affected her balance severely.
The boars that had been scared off earlier by Talbot were now regrouping, snorting angrily as they stamped forward. Cicatrice tried to stand ready for them, but petch did her leg scream agony. Talbot's extended hand was a welcomed sight, grasping hold and with all the strength she had in her sorry state, hoisted herself up on to the horse. |

OOCSorry I kept you waiting so long, my internet was static.
Talbot spurred his horse forward the moment Cicatrice was sitting behind him. He tried to turn his head back to see if she had injured herself, but he felt unsteady as was and didn't want them toppling over. "Are you okay?" he asked instead.
The question could've been directed at his horse, whose pace was starting to falter, almost hurling them both off its back. Talbot knew then that his horse had subsisted a few blows from the wild boars to its legs, but it was stronger and faster than them.
They were at least twenty feet ahead of the boars when they started to disperse at their own accord, giving up the chase. Then the horse upended in its retreat and Talbot lost his grip on the reigns, plummeting to the ground. He thought he could hear his shoulder crunch as he made impact. He could barely move. |

[ooc=OOC]Its ok, I'm patient for replies. Has it settled down at least?{/ooc]
Cicatrice grit her teeth together as a throbbing pain seared through her leg, every slight movement of the limb becoming agonizing. She didn't answer Talbot when asked if she was okay, not trusting her voice to keep calm. The girls arms wrapped themselves around the man, hanging on tightly as the horse nearly threw them both off.
Her hold on the man didn't ease up until they were far enough ahead of the boars that they began to lose interest in the chase. Which was lucky, because the next thing she knew, the two of them were crashing into the ground, Cicatrice landing hard on her side. A low groan left her lips, forcing herself to sit up and make sure that things were relatively safe.
The horses hadn't run too far, thankfully, but neither looked happy. Her and Talbot were going to have one hell of a time calming them down. That's when she saw the man, sprawled out on the ground, looking as though he were in a lot of pain. She made her way over to him, hissing under her breath at the agony that was burning through her leg.
"Talbot?" She ventured, worriedly checking the man over for what might be hurting him so. "Where's the damage?" |

OOCYeah, it's working fine now, but I have exams this week so there's a chance it might take me a while to reply. I feel really bad for making you wait all the time. Dx
Talbot groaned and stirred, trying to lift his head. Pain flared up his neck and he reeled his head back to its original position. Cicatrice had flitted to his side in an instant.
"I'm fine," he started to say, reaching up to brush aside her concern, but he couldn't bite down on the quiet gasp procured from the action. His arm felt like it had been dragged through a field of razors before preceding to be trampled by mammoths. He swallowed, hoping Cicatrice hadn't noticed.
"What about you? Are you okay? Are they gone?" he asked her. His eyes drifted to the gaping wound on Cicatrice's leg. He managed to pull himself up into a sitting position then, ignoring the shooting pain than ran through his body."Your leg, we have to do something about that." |
