Character Concept
Even so, Arandolya genuinely loves interaction with others, and the prospect of making new friends, without realizing her own expressions will definitely effect the outcome of a meeting between herself and another. She meets every new encounter brightly, and warmly, though she has a habit of coming to conclusions and judgement very soon after an initial meeting. When friendship is establish though, Arandolya is a faithful and loyal companion, one to shy away from association if she feels she cannot trust them explicitly. Their well-being and security are high within her concerns, but friends are not the only thing. Arandolya feels a large sense of loyalty and duty towards Priskil, her chosen deity of worship, and Wind Reach, the home that has made her who she is today. She would lay her life on the line easily for each, as she often says; "If I am not loyal to Wind Reach, who am I?" Which sums up her faith in her home with accurate simplicity. This devoted persona stems from losing her mother and having Wind Reach help her back to her feet, in the brash and obvious ways of the Inarta. They picked her up, washed the scent of alcohol from her skin, and sent her to training where she almost lost herself in a blindness to just forget the pain of her mother's death. Priskil, on the other hand, helped her guide her through the pain and embrace the old memories to only recall her mother in the peak times of mirth and joy. Whenever she needs hope or strength, Arandolya turns her face to the sun and remember Priskil's constant struggle. Character History
Arandolya enjoyed learning various things, although nothing really showed as a promeniant skill except her adapt archery enough to become a hunter's apprentice, at age 13, and rise to the ranks of hunting with the Eagle Riders, as a second rider on a tolerant Eagle. She loved the air, and knew this was where she belonged. The birds sounded almost like they were speaking to her with their calls. Upon becoming a hunter, Iridssa gave her daughter her own shortbow she used to use, and a simple quiver that would hold 15 arrows comfortably. It was a rare show of approval and Arandolya holds them close to heart, although she's saving up for a larger quiver and a longbow, although that would mean training with a bigger bow. By observation, first-hand experience, and self-teaching, she started dappling in healing birds. First it was simple diagnostics to see if her little songbird's ailment was urgent, or if she could look up an easy cure. Arandolya slowly accumulated more knowledge, and moved onto larger birds, and actually treating the sicknesses. She loves helping the birds, and seeing them evolve from a frail, sick thing in her palms, to a Eagle with a Rider, barely remembering the one who coaxed them back to health from a simple ailment. Arandolya didn't mind she wasn't recognized, or that most of the time, other healers had to take over, she found something she wanted to learn. And so she will. |
