Kendall knew for sure he was not going to work in stables again. Ever. He had hated the job with a burning passion when he had it in Syliras. He had told himself whenever he looked for a new job, it would be anywhere else but stables.

The blond had decided to head to the Icewatch Barracks. Jennisi had mentioned that they were often looking for people to help watch the cubs. She was not sure if they would hire an outsider but some had been hired before.

While Kendall walked to the barracks, he tried to relax his mind into a somewhat mediative state. While he could not meditate fully since he was walking, he tried to at least calm his mind. Once his mind was a bit more stable he started to release his Res, letting it float over his palm. Shortly after letting the Res float in the frosty air, he ignited it, smiling at the flame before him. He had been working with this element for so long now. He knew it was silly, but he loved it. It was a part of him, although that probably had more to do with his connection to Ivak.

When he arrived at the barracks he closed his hand around the flame before walking through the doors. He did not want to scare anyone unless the bears got a bit squeamish around the flames.

Once inside, the blond pulled down his hood to show his shockingly blond hair. He knew this was an immediate sign that he was an outsider but at least he was being upfront about it. Walking up to one of the Vantha in the barracks Kendall spoke up. "Excuse me. I am Kendall Saarinen. I just arrived in the city a few days ago and I was told Icewatch was looking for some more people to help watch over the cubs. Who should I talk to about that?" He worried that his newer standing in the city might hinder him but if it did, he could always try to find work else where. He just could not deny that he wanted to work with the cubs.
"I'm burning and I'm blacking my lungs.
Boy you know it feels good with fire back on your tongue."

The young Vantha in the Icewatch barracks was intrigued to see a non-Vantha walk in and start towards him. He didn't really talk to many outsiders and was content in his job of keeping the barracks tidy, it suited his introverted personality. At the blonds query of who to talk to about watching the cubs however, he spoke up with barely masked enthusiasm, because it meant he no longer had to watch them. Devilish things that they were. "You'll want to talk to Kayin Frostfawn. Last I checked, he was in His wife's office, just down the hall" He pointed at an open portal down the hall with a smile, praying to Morwen that the outsider would get the job.

Kendall smiled lightly at the man when he addressed him. At least the Vantha seemed open enough to give him a chance at employment. "Thank you, I'll go find him."

There was something about the Vantha that left Kendall unsettled. It was not that he did not like them. It was nothing of the sort. It was their eyes. Their emotions were so plain to see. While an Azenth might have found interest in this, it also sat oddly with him. The emotions were never hidden but at the same time, there had to be so many that they were not even aware they were showing.

Making his way down the hall, Kendall stopped at a large office. "Hello? I was told to come here in search of a job. A man told me to talk to Kayin Frostfawn." He hoped that these Vantha would be as willing to give him direction as the last. "I am looking to help look after the cubs."

Kayin looked over the young man who had caome into his office, his eyes adopting a hard gray color as he gazed at Kendall. The boy was not a Vantha, that much was evident by his blonde hair. That didn't really matter though, As long as he had the patience to work with the bear cubs. They could be difficult at times. "Well, we are always looking for people to look after the rowdy bunch. we sort of recruited one of the boys who cleans around here to do it, but he doesn't quite have the personality." He said simply. "I am Kayin Frostfawn, I lead Frostfawn hold and supervise the training of the bears. What makes you think you could handle them?"He inquired, looking more for determination and attitude then for particular skills.
