Stretching northward along the coastline of the Suvan Sea, the Cobalt Mountains are the home of the Bronze Wood, numerous ruins, and creatures both strange and fantastical.

[Flashback] Stranger Meetings (Bob)

All he wanted was a petching easy day. Rhuryc grunted and slogged through the ever-increasing snowdrift, his vision now obscured to an impossible distance. Blasted eyes. They were useless anyway.

He stopped. The crest of his blade slid across the surface of the powdered ground, glinting white steel smothered by calm of the weather. No sight. A chill entered his spine, it crept up his back and entered his mind like a poison; had he abandoned the little man? No. He listened. The quiet winds filled his ears, the subtle, soft blowing, the gentle caress of the air's kiss upon exposed skin. Nature held a rhythm. A pattern. A sweet melody that worked within itself to utter complete harmony. What he sought was the dissonance. He stood, eyes closed, his body still, everything he had set in the detail of the world.

Rhuryc.

There.

The wolf yelped. Rhuryc's body crashed into the beast and both went tumbling into the snow, the man's arms wrapped about the animal's torso in an attempt to attain dominance. The creature snapped and snarled. It clawed, bit, and fought, but the man held strong. He kicked at an exposed underside and shifted, his body rolling onto its side as he slammed the wolf into the ground, one arm steady to pin the beast. Rhuryc reared back. A flash of light caught the flat of his blade before it plunged into the flailing form of the aggressor, snuffing its life in a mere instant. He grunted.

"What's that," He managed to speak while he stood, though he was notiably out of breath. "Twice now?" He paused only when his attention fell on the whimpering, wounded creature, it's blood leaving a steady trail through the white. Bah. Without a hint of hesitation, Rhuryc cleared the distance between them and finished the death in one, swift blow.

"Blood on the air is no good. Come on, my friend, we'd best make our way form here before more lovely locals find us."

Time passes very slowly when a person is in danger. How else would they be able to enjoy those last few precious moments of their life? Bob's last few moments had him calling out for "Rhuryc, Rhuryc, Rhuryc!" not because the man was the most important person in his life at that time. Not unless he turned out to be his saviour. But as of then Bob was left to fend for himself against a snarling wolf trying to advance on him. With the snow being kicked up from its feet Bob could at least tell when it was going to move and when it was going to stay put so Bob took to looking at the wolf's paw instead. Any slight movement of the snow surrounding it had Bob quickly moving his eyes to the wolf and finding a target in its body where he quickly and frantically thrust his sword forward but the wolf was pretty smart too jumping back to try and dodge him. The whole thing went over and over, stuck with the wolf moving and Bob trying to attack waiting for something else to come and end it. Who else would qualify but Rhuryc who thankfully did not abandon Bob.

But did he want to help Bob more or did he want the wolf? First thing he did was to give the wolf a big hug or smash it as hard as possible before slaying it for "the second time" Bob replied holding out two fingers to show the count holding out his arms for a moment like he wanted to give a hug of his own but actually ending up with flailing around his arms to see if he was injured. Since he was pretty much alright he agreed that "we should leave soon then. Two locals are more than enough for me thank you" and stepping towards Rhuryc he paused to ask "do you think we can take a chance to go back and grab the rest of my things?" which was a pretty stupid idea even for Bob but those were his and if luck had anything to do with it "most of the pack is dead already and it will take some time for other locals to make their way here."

Better not to push their luck because Bob could get back those things, or better anytime he wanted but he only had one life. "On second thought, let's head back to Syliras. So what do you want from me in return for your help today?" Money? Bob did not have much to spend on anyone else though he had enough to spend on whatever he wanted to. Without waiting for Rhuryc to give anything costly, Bob quickly suggested that "we can hit the tavern. A perfect remedy for the cold weather and a near death experience. Any preference of what you want?" Bob will allow Rhuryc to lead and decide seeing that the man seemed to be more experienced and skilled so they would either stay out of harm's way or the harm will get defeated by Rhuryc.

Secret :
Figured Wilderness Survival made sense for you in the beginning Bob. Social stuff was for the questions and banter. Weapon related stuff for obvious reasons, and running for running for your lives! At times.
