[Flashback] Dusty Road (Solo)

[Blaze]

4th of Fall, 510AV Blaze ran through the dusty streets of the city of Endrykas with renewed vigor as she almost reached her destination. Her dust covered hooves lifted dirt into the air with each step forwards but she had to make it home quickly. That's when she realised her dad's tent wasn't home any longer. She remembered the days before when he had shouted at her and slapped her and she didn't want to go back to a place like that. She shifted into her human form and sat exactly where she was contemplating what to do. Her physical form looked to be around to age of 14 even though she was only 1 year old. Her long brown tangle of hair trailed down her back and she sighed. She unlikely to be seen be anyone because of her position. Blaze didn't know what to do with herself anymore. She wanted to leave her dad but knew she probably wouldn't survive out by herself. Not with out protection anyway, and she had nothing in the way of weapons. She got to her feet and trodded over to a rock that lay at a awkwards angle to the ground. It was a little distance away from where she had just been seated. She reached down and pulled it over, with a tug, revealing a pack with a bit of food and other nessesary supplies in it. She had packed it days ago incase she ever felt the need to leave, but now that she wanted to she wasn't sure if she could do it. Blaze opened the pack and donned the brown leather dress inside. It was a little to big for her but her mother, who had been a horse kelvic, had worn it before her so it was a momento of sorts. She settled down in the dirt and leaned against the pack. Soon enough she drifted off to sleep with out even noticing that she had been tired in the first place.

5th of Fall, 510AV Blaze woke to an aching stomach which growled in hunger. She sat up immediately when she noticed where she was. She glanced around with panicked eyes before jumping to her bare feet. He must be out hunting, she thought to calm herself quickly. She hoped her dad hadn't gone looking for her. She grabbed the pack and out tumbled a pair of worn, leather boots. I forgot about those, she thought quickly bending down to put them on her feet. It felt weird not being in direct contact with the ground but they would do whenever she walked in a civilised area. Blaze began walking fast through Endrykas not wanting to encounter anyone she knew because then it would just make it harder to leave. She moved quickly trying not to be seen as she ran behind the tents. As she sped by she began to appreciate the grip that the boots gave her but she still didn't like them much. As soon as she reached the other edge of the tent city she became fed up with her attire and pulled it off. She thrust them into her pack and put the whole bundle around her neck before shifting back into her favoured horse form. She set off at a trot but it soon built up to a gallop as she set into the feeling of freedom that came with running. She barely noticed her hunger or thirst but knew she soon would. Her chestnut coloured coat glimmered lightly in the sunlight and she hoped she would be able to outrun any predators she encountered. Her long tail swished from side to side as she built up speed and her mane flicked down over her ever determined eyes. That moment moved by to quickly as she left her birth place, that was Endrykas.
